We got lucky because we arrived at about 2:55 just before the restaurant was to close for a couple of hours and the waiter was nice enough to let us in. We reciprocated by ordering very quickly and the restaurant responded in kind by serving up two great pasta dishes, a terrific mixed salad, two cold beers and great background... More

We ate at Il Tari on a number of occasions whilst we were in Amalfi. We were here during winter in February and this was one of the only restaurants that bothered to open its doors during the off season. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was amazing and some of the best pasta we have had. The... More

The food was superb and the staff so attentive! We had grilled vegetables with grilled mozarella, soup and salad.

That's what my 9 year old daughter said about her 1st pizza in Italy. Presecco at only 4euros a glass great value. Complimentary nibbles to start and basic but tasty food and reasonably priced fare (Our nearby hotel was quoting 55euros a head (without drinks) for a standard evening meal). This place is worth a visit if your not too overly... We have eaten there twice in two days - so that is an indicator! Not the best restaurant ever, but the food is good, reasonably priced and no nasty surprises on the bill. A good wine list and very good service. Nice pizzas, good lasagne and good squid this evening. Amalfi at the end of the season has reducing choices,... More

Delicious complimentary bruschetta was followed by excellent deep fried vegetables and cheese and tasty pasta courses, nicely served and reasonably priced for the area. If you like contemporary Italian you will enjoy this place!

We were attracted to this restaurant in the Main Street in Amalfi because they had profiteroles on the menu!!! We didn't have pasta for a change the chicken stew was really tasty and the steak my daughter had was really good too and yes The profiteroles were very good. May be an idea to book as it was very popular.... More

Read reviews that praised this popular venue, but were disappointed. Very busy with tightly packed tables. While waiting for my starter, tables were rearranged to accommodate more guests, with one almost sitting on my knee! Staff with few words, no eye contact and grim expressions! Couldn't fault the food, but plates 'dumped' in front of us, and as soon as... More

You get what you pay for! Although, the prices are reasonable, the food is ok at best. The service is lackluster also. Waiters are not very attentive and take customers for granted. In this place, stick with pizza and pasta. I can't imagine they could mess that up. Anything else... (chicken, fish) and you will be disappointed. The food just... More

We arrived at this restaurant on our first night in Amalfi. We were tired from traveling and after walking up the main street, saw this restaurant and decided to stay. The 'average' rating might be partly our fault as we started off with a fried dish at a simple Italian restaurant. However, after this catastrophic order, we shared mussels and... More
