"La Piazetta" is away from the busiest street of Amalfi in a small square. There is a number of other nice looking restaurant around as well. We went for lunch and sat outside, watching the people pass by. The service was fast and friendly, the lady spoke very good English. The food was very delicious, the portions were not very... More

Tucked away in a square away from main street. Amalfi does tend to provide tourist trap type restaurants and this unfortunately suffered that same characteristic. However we gave it a go. We were greeted by pleasant staff. Ordered the Positano salad which was pretty good, nice and fresh. Half a litre of house wine was 9€. Followed by Rissoto with... More

Great little spot in very pleasant Italian square, perfect for wee stop off, rest of legs and cold beer. Great chocolate milkshakes too... Staff friendly and efficient.

Great little trattiatore. The service was quite chaotic, but friendly (very Italien). I wanted to swordfish, but he said I shouldnt as it was today not fresh. He recommend the Scialatielli (a local past dish). It was the best one of my trip.

Quick serving time, prices similar to other restaurants in the area. We ordered a salad which was close to horrible (it was not seasoned with anything, just a bunch of salad and rucola and other stuff put in a bowl) and pasta portion was quite small (not enough for a man) and tasted reasonable but nothing special. Would not return... More

Great location. Away from crowded touristy square Duomo. Ordered Amalfiana pizza and penne arabiatta which was good. The host is very professional and looks after you rally well. Stayed back for tap beer followed by cafe corretto with Sambuca

Nice location, in the middle of a quiet plazza. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the food is just plain. The night's specialty, lasagna, was actually pretty bad, and the pizza is worse than the one you find in a regular italian place outside of Italy...

Went here several times during my holidays in Amalfi. Reasons why we kept coming back: the food, always fresh and delicious, the nice location, but most of all the professional and genuinely friendly staff. Highly recommended!
