If you are in this area, this is a very good choice for dinner. We were pleased we managed a table (dining early, as travellers often do) as it filled up, mainly with what seemed to be families, locals and regulars. We had fish dishes - both well prepared.

After too many pizzerias, this is one of the best restaurants in Milan. Interesting to read the other reviews as we were the only non-Italians, the service was efficient and friendly, we didn't wait for our food and the quality was simple excellence. We were lucky to walk in and get a table as it quickly filled so my advice... More

After stuffing ourselves on delicious pizza during the day we were looking for other choices for dinner. This restaurant didn't it disappoint. Great selection of pastas, seafood and meat dishes. Everything was great, especially the fish - I had the spigola (sea bream) baked in salt. The wine menu was full of great choices from around Italy. Desserts were few... More

Little Osteria off the main street, near the Post. In the right place at the right time. Good menu and pretty fair wine selection.

Every time we are in Naples we go to Osteria da Carmela & are never dissapointed. It a small, intimate place near the Archaeological Museum. Service has always been excellent & there has never been a language barrier. You get to see the food on plates before you select.. I've never been disappointed ordering their fish. Bill Allison

Received a recommendation from my hotel (Hotel Piazza Bellini) for a quiet Thursday evening dinner. The restaurant is right around the corner from the hotel and about 100 meters from the National Museum of Archeology. Menu features a range of offerings - meal begins with a free plate of dough balls - delicious on their own. I chose the fried... More

We had just visited the Naples National Archaeological Museum, well worth it, and looked for somewhere nearby. TA showed this Osteria and I am glad we went. Initially service seemed slow for a small restaurant. However, the only waiter was excellent. He helped with the menu and wine selection. First time we had seen artichokes either fried in batter or... More

As Jan a and others have said, this is a charming family restaurant with very good food. It has heart, so be patient. And do make a reservation. The night we went there was a steady stream of walk ins whilst the restaurant was completely full for the duration of the evening. Clearly lots of people had read TA or... More

We visited this restaurant having consulted a guide book. It is a very small establishment with fairly comfortable seating but unfortunately devoid of any atmosphere. The starters were very pleasant but the meat in the main course was very tough and there was a distinct lack of sauces to accompany it. After the main course we waited half an hour... More

What a delightful find, this small traditional family run restaurant with a good choice of simply cooked delicious Neopolitan food at really good prices. Only a handful of tables and well used by locals so if you want to go it is best to reserve a table.

The restaurant, in the heart of the ancient Naples offers a rich menu from the traditional Neapolitan cuisine; the atmosphere is really relaxing and the place, with its elegant lines and features, is really nice.
