Quality is medium to high. They specialise in traditional cakes called "sfogliatelle". I am a regular customer, although the price is quite high. Expect to pay about 2.50€ for each cake. However the quality is great and the portions are good.

This is an historical maker of the famous sfogliatella, a sweet created in a convent on the amalfitan coast. The shop was founded in 1785 and since then, offers to the customers one of the best traditional sweet of the neapolitan tradition. They are always busy, but the quality of their product is high, as well as their prices.

It looks like you need to always queue in Naples to get the local treats... So we queued and got the best sfogiatelle- crispy, warm and with the lovely orange flavoured ricotta inside. Yummy!

I love sfogliatelle. The ricce in particular. And when it comes to the best ones, after testing and tasting all the places recommended by locals as the best in town, Pintauro has a special place in my heart (or should I say stomach). A must stop during every stroll down the Via Toledo!

Of course I don't write reviews about places I haven't tried. To tell you the truth I have TRIED... with no success. This place is recommended by tourist guides and has so many positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. Maybe too much so they do not care anymore. They are in the heart of a tourist location, they are famous from... More

We really enjoyed the light and crisp Sfogliatelle we had here! We tried a few others elsewhere in Naples and the Amalfi coast and none could compare to this.

Asked my hostel owner where to get good sfogliatelle and he said that it's pretty much the same everywhere. False. Have one here and compare it with the crappy ones and you'll understand. I wish I had the time to visit this place a second time.
