The restaurant was just across from our hotel so we gave it a try. The atmosphere was poor with a head waiter who was not welcoming and a bit bossy. He seemed to treat the other staff badly. Food was a little pricey and they...pushed extras etc too much. Charged for one piece of bread but offered no oil or balsamicMore

A very classy restaurant in every respect except for price which was standard . The waiter (bald head and beard) was brilliant very cool guy and didn’t pressure us in to anything but gave good advice with the menu I had cockfish stew which was...gorgeous with potatoes and my wife had pasta with cheese and black pepper Beautiful meal and service Loved it and highly recommendMore

Dined here at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. We had a fantastic experience. Alessandro waited on us and he made the evening most enjoyable. He is a professional in every sense of the word. His wine recommendation was a perfect accompaniment to the whole...branzino shared by my wife and me. The fish followed our pasta course and the carbonara was the best we have ever had. Alessandro deboned the fish table side to perfection. Dessert recommendations were also very good. Finally, we were provided free limoncello as a perfect finish to a perfect evening. We will be back soon! Run, don’t walk to dine here.More

Absolutely the worst in Roma. A complete disappointment on all stages. The waiter was way out of line and should remember what his job description is. He is there to serve. The pasta was undercooked. The seafood selection was poor and undercooked or overcooked. The...desert was ok at best. The manager did make every attempt at apologizing for his waiter. I did appreciate that. This restaurant is the exact opposite of quality and experience when compared to La Pentolacia across the street.More

Snooty waiter, poor customer service, average food, staff didn’t listen to the customer. All this ruined a birthday meal. I wouldn’t recommend a visit here, far nicer restaurants available in the area.

Very nice food. Had a dish of fried fish and also a carbonara. Would say the staff were also very nice. I maybe expected the fish to have a little more flavour but it was good overall.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I randomly gave a try on a rainy September evening while on a business trip. From the staff though the menu a steady quality experience. Interesting menu with daily specials. I almost always opted for fish and I...was never disappointed. Great staff always ready to smile and serve your meal with professionalism. Nice outdoor area in a not busy road. I will definitely be back again. Good for tourist and for locals as well. Will be back!More

This restaurant was highly recommended by Fabrizio our tour guide. We enjoyed the delicious food, friendly service(Danni) atmosphere and attention to detail. They even called us a taxi when it was time to leave. We will definitely visit Fuocolento again if we ever make it...back to Roma! Thank you for your hospitality!More

The food was ok. The service was ridiculously poor. Being told it would be around 20 minutes for an outside table, turned into 90 minutes. No apology, no monies back on the cost of our food and drink. The wine list is pricey to say...the least. Try next door, where the same wines are a lot more cost effective, the service is excellent and their food is better. Not impressedMore

This was our second visit having been really well looked after earlier in the week. We were booked in for 8:15pm and arrived a little early-we wanted a table outside so we're offered a table inside to wait for one to become available. We finally...managed to be seated 90 minutes later. What's not acceptable, is to be ignored and the waiter that engaged us initally, avoiding eye contact and our requests, for an update. When we did manage to track him down, we were told a few more minutes. We sat down at 10.30pm and frankly, whilst the food was ok, we just wanted to get out of there-which we did at around midnight, no other customers in sight. To compound all of the above, not one apology was offered, dispite numerous opportunities to do so or indeed any compensation.More

This restaurant was opposite our hotel (Marcella) and recommended to us by the hotel receptionist. The restaurant was quintessential Italian, all of the staff were presented smartly and polite, the menu was similar to the other restaurants we had visited (starters, first course, second course,...fish courses and deserts). We had high hopes due to the recommendation, we ordered the lasagne and the tomato and bacon pasta, both were bang average, we had better the day before at the restaurant next door to our hotel. The staff were friendly but not personable. As the title states Ok for lunch but wouldn’t come here for an evening meal.More

What a great dining experience this was! We were given the name of this restaurant by our hotel concierge, and it was an amazing way to end our family trip to Italy. We were greeted warmly, given some great suggestions of appetizers and entrees to...perhaps try (we did!), and the service was top notch. The food was the best we had on our trip through Italy by far. We started with the chef's suggestion of a plate of various raw fishes and it was absolutely amazing. The best tuna tartar, salmon, sea bass, octopus, prawns - each was better than the one before. I love sushi and regularly eat ahi tuna....but this was better than any I have had. The next plate of fried zucchini was good (and appealed to some of our family that isn't quite as adventurous as my husband and I with the raw fish). My husband and I had the sea bass in a zucchini crust, and WOW! I order sea bass a lot in the states, and had it 2 other times during our stay in Italy this trip. This was the best I have ever had in my life, in all of my travels abroad and in the states. Our children and my mother in law had pasta, salmon and chicken....and all were very good as well. Alessandro was our server, and he did such a wonderful job explaining the dishes to us, making suggestions, and ensuring that our time there was perfect. He recommended a red wine that was delicious (we only wanted a few glasses, as we had done a wine tasting the day before and wanted to allow a little break for our systems!). At the end of our dinner, we had the privilege of meeting the chef and were able to pass on our thanks and compliments on his art. Thanks to all of the staff for making this our best meal together in Italy!More
