Wandered in after the Pantheon & Trevi for a delicious meal for my wife and me. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I have been to this restaurant for the first time, more than 1 year ago and I can truly say that I got in love with it. Everything there inside is fresh and home made. Meat, fish, pasta, pizza, salads, everything you want, they serve, and good, excellent. I have to thank all Sugo's staff, from the waiters to the... More

Great food served at this restaurant, it was nice to watch all of the pasta being hand made whilst ordering and waiting for our food. My partners food was served 10 minutes after my own meaning we was not able to eat together. This was disappointing as the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

During our last night in Rome we had the misfortune to come across this place when we could walk no more and just had to sit down and eat somewhere that was at least of a passable level. The place is located on a heavily touted street near the Spanish Steps and reps from each restaurant desperately do all they... More

It was seeing pasta being made by hand that made us stop to look at the restaurant. It was the delicious food and friendly staff that made us return for a second visit.

Sometimes you don't know what you'll get when you are ushered from the street to visit a restaurant. However after checking out the menu and walking around the block, we returned to smiling faces welcoming us back to the restaurant. We had a nice outdoor table, and attentive waiters + WIFI! My mother and I shared arancini, greek salad, and... More

Okay - so what I've noticed in Rome is you get the staff trying to push you in the door if their establishment is not drawing people in based on good reputation/review/experience Stumbled across this one night, gentleman very pushy trying to get us to order most expensive meal and seafood. I don't like seafood Meal tasted exactly like a... More

Really great pizza, fresh generous toppings and very good wine selection. We started with a Greek Salad, Buffalo Mozzarella Caprese and took most of the pizza home with us for a happy hour treat.

We had a very short stay in Rome as part of a cruise ship tour. We had a choice of skipping lunch, or seeing if we could get a good, quick sit down meal. Sugo d'Oro filled the bill! We told the hostess we only had 30 minutes, and she assured us that with her wood-fired pizza oven, she could... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
