Although the basic ingredients of our meal could be found on many a menu, rarely would you find so much adventurous mixtures of taste cooked with such elan in one restaurant. After starters of three separate fish carpaccio and a monkfish ragu, we had black gnocchi with truffle, mussels and fried rocket, and black shrimp and mussel ravioli; followed by... More

Traveling with friends this restaurant was a fan favorite on Yelp. We got a reservation for Thursday evening, the restaurant was full which is always a good sign. This was an absolute delight!! We loved our meal, the presentation of all dishes was beautiful, service was on point and decor was stylish modern. Also surprisingly affordable, we live in California... More

This restaurant is next door to the Rome Times hotel. You must have reservations for what is really great food and service. You will pay a little more but it is worth the price.

Early lunch by Roman standards (1pm) - very stylish decor, modern, tasteful. Menu not too large - I was tempted by the Crudo or raw menu (mainly oysters or various types of fish) but decided on roasted octopus with pea veloute. Andy had battered salt cod with celeriac purée with fresh black truffle. Beautifully presented (mine on black slate) and... More

My husband and i have been in Rome for 4 days and we've eaten twice at this gem of a restaurant! We'd be going for the third time today, but I'm not feeling well :( I really hate missing the opportunity to go here and try a few of the other many yummy sounding offerings on the quite extensive menu!... Great restaurant find next door to our hotel! The service, food and wine were outstanding! The presentation of the appetizers, entrees and dessert were so creative! We went with the staff recommendations and enjoyed everything we ordered.

This would have to be one of the best seafood restaurants in Rome... The food is delicious. From the Black Ravioli with crab to the Lobster pasta (served in shell) so you will need to work a little.. Everything is beautifully presented...and matched with exceptional service... nothing is a problem..Great ambiance... I would recommend you book as it fills up... More

My husband says his lobster pasta was the best meal he had in Rome and I'll not disagree based on the taste I stole when he wasn't looking. My monkfish appetizer was small in size but large in taste. Our mixed grill for two was excellent but didn't challenge the chef's skills. I enjoyed it, but next time I'll order... More

Managed to get the last free table for two without a reservation at 7:15pm on a Thursday. Several couples turned away with no reservation after us. Staff were pleasant and accommodating and we were not rushed. Atmosphere was good and decor was excellent. Food was not cheap but portion size was fine and quality was high on the meals chosen... We had a great dinner at the Matermatuta. Tasty, creative, fresh food at a moderate price. Good selection of wine, maybe even a bit too cheap for the quality (don't tell the owner). Nice interior and thoughtful service. Go there!
