The food was good and the wine was reasonable priced, the service was ok . Just be careful as in most Rome restaurant about the extras , bread, water, tip.

We really didn't like the atmosphere in there at all, boring, bland and lacking any interest. We were invited to sit at a table which is in a row so close to the next one I might as well have been eating with them (all the table are like this. We were then ignored and after about 10 minutes no-one... More

My family dropped in exhausted on our first day in Rome on recommendation from our hotel. My daughters loved the gnocchi and the Lasagna so much they insisted we return on our last day. After a week at eating at some of Rome's best restaurants, we were unanimous that La Pentolaccia's pasta was as good if not better than most.... More

Would have been good food for a reasonable price if only they would not have brought us a bottle when you've only ordered a glass and also brought a second course that no one ever ordered at all. When we said that we did not order this they became very thightlipped and brought it back to the kitchen with no... More

This restaurant seems to be very popular among the locals - and it's a good sign. We had a proper dinner; Roman Style antipasto, baby lamb, Marsala chicken tiramisu and gorgeous wines with them. Experienced gentlemen did the service proudly and stylish. Home made limoncello was an excellent finish to fine dinner. We were satisfied a four course dinner for... More

It's in a row of great restaurants, La Bottega and La Locanda. All can't miss. Lasagna, pastas and desserts all very good. It's what you how to find in Rome.

This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant. What a find! Delicious Italian fayre, coupled with the warmest of welcomes and great service. We could not fault it and would enthusiastically recommend La Pentolaccia to anyone staying in Rome.

We opted to sit outside on a busy bustling street rather than inside seeing as you don't always get the opportunity in the UK. Attentive waiter/ress made us feel welcome. Chose to share a starter of prosciutto & mozzarella and Italian beer (apart from the young fella who had fruit juice). Main courses were grilled chicken, sea bass with zucchini... More

A warm and friendly welcome began an amazing culinary experience. Attentive and gracious waiters ensured that language was not a barrier as we browsed the great selection of food on the menu. Fully aware that British customers do not sit down to a 5 course, 2 hour dinner they did everything to make sure we felt comfortable and ate as... More

Fantastic once again. As before it is a quiet time of year but we were made most welcome with excellent service and food to die for. Once again we both enjoyed good food and wine, what more could you want. Please do not say for free!!!

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
