After a few days eating nothing but Italian food we were wanting something different. It was late at night and Mandarin was open. We got there thirty minutes before closing so we decided to do takeout although the staff was willing to serve us a sit down dinner. They accept credit cards. The staff was friendly and the food was... More

I was in Rome for a couple of weeks and ate here 3 times as it was close to the hotel. Very nice restaurant in quiet surroundings. Elegant, traditional Chinese decor. Extensive menu and friendly service from a waiter who explained everything and gave good suggestions. Food was very good and I didn't think it was particularly expensive.

Wanted a change from Roman cuisine and decided to try this Chinese restaurant down the road from our hotel. Food is tasty and authentic. Although service can be slow as some of the service staff only Chinese. Portions are a bit small. Four of us had fried rice, crispy duck, stirred fried cabbage, fried beef tips, minced beef soup were... More

A very lovely place, and a completely different experience from any other "chinese" restaurants in Rome. This is the real deal. Of course, the price is not comparable to the cheap joints that serve pre-cooked food, but you surely get what you pay for. The personnel is extremely caring and helpful, the food is exceptional and as close to the... More

Looking for something different other than Italian cuisine, decided for a change of taste and since this restaurant was just round the corner from our hotel we decided to give it a go. On entering there was a table of 11 Asian guys clearly having a food fest celebration of some kind, their wife's / girlfriends were seated at a... More

After trying different Italian cuisine in Rome, we wanted a change so we decided to have a Chinese meal, since we saw the sign on the street. The restaurant first impressions were good. We went in and they seemed clean and the decoration was good. We were seated on a good table and were attended with drinks. The older women... More

Ok falks, here it is briefly: do yourself a favor and avoid this dirty trap! If it is expensive, that does not mean you can rely on quality. Asian food and Rome go together like fish and marmalade! Layout: nice and elegant I must say (that's why I went in). However I had to ask for the spices, chilly and... More

We wanted to eat Asian food as we have been eating a lot of pastas and pizzas already that's why we came to this restaurant. It was near our hotel so we decided to try it out. We enjoyed the food but the serving was not that big to share. Nevertheless, the staff were very nice and we enjoyed our... More

Truly outstanding Chinese food; I recommend the hot and sour soup; fried won ton dumplings; chicken with ginger. I've been coming here for decades and it is consistently superb. Far and away the best Chinese in Rome, in my opinion.

See the picture enclosed for my review I wrote for Yelp . Full details are presented in pictures. Basically. If you expect Chinese American style, forget it. Bland food with bland staff.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
