We were so happy we stumbled across this place on our first night in Rome. The staff were efficient but unobtrusive, leaving us to enjoy our meal in peace and enjoy listening to the music and singing. The dining room was quirky, not at all what you would expect from the outside. My hubby and I both had a pizza... More

Restaurant still with a typical old-time (50s) atmosphere. You can close your eyes and think to be still in a Fellini's movie.. in black and white. Of course, the restaurant has seen better times but it is still worth a visit. Service and meals are of reasonable level, and some dishes are probably very good (Naples-style cuisine). We had some... One more time, we had a wonderful dinner and evening. The food is so good, fresh and tasty... the service is excellent and the ambiance with Paolo and Mario with the best Italians songs.. we definitely go back. Thank you to the owner Eugenio for that special night.

We first came here as walking around in the Monte area. It was such a lucky find. We were the only ones in the restaurant but soon after we received our delicious Vino de Casa a rush of people came in. My husband order the signature dish of the restaurant Canneloni de Frisio and I order the mussels and pasta.... More

Just back from a few days in Rome and like the previous reviewer our first visit to the Scoglio Di Frisio was a very long time ago. We got married in Rome in 1973 and had our celebration meal there. It was wonderful. Have been back again twenty one years ago and again a few nights ago. As before we... More

Our first visit was 51 years ago. By any measure this is a restaurant with a long history. Opened in 1928. We returned Nov 29,2013 for the 3rd time. Still excellent but we were the only patrons on a Friday night. The neighborhood is not trendy so the younger people go to different venue with entertainment or dancing. It is... More

After returning from naples, the pizza was below average. there was a local singer entertaining the guest but it couldnt make up for the lack of great pizza, in Italy! foods okay, go only if you must.

My wife struck up a conversation with a young man who said he lived in the neighborhood, and she asked for a restaurant recommendation. Maybe he knows the owner, but anyway we were very happy with his choice. We were not overly hungry so ordered a pizza ortolana for me and zuppa di pesce for her. I loved the pizza,... More

Me and my wife are very happy that we, last day here in Rome finally found a very good, old fashioned classic Italian restaurant. The food was perfect, we ate a pizza and a risotto, live piano playing, and a very nice owner who took his time and sat down with every guest. We give our best compliments and recommend... More

Marco of Hotel Serena recommended this place to us and told us that their seafood and pizza are good. We had seabass cooked in Naples way and it is really fresh and good. Their pizza is the best we had in Italy in the past two weeks in Italy. The waiters are very attentive and nice. They did not push... More
