Pastas were overcooked and carbonara was dry and barely edible. The eggplant appetizer was also a miss. Very loud atmosphere as well - you can do much better than this in Rome!

We went back to Da Sergio after many years. We found it in 2004 and went there for a couple of years and then stopped going. It is located near Camp Di Fiori. We remembered the spigola (sea bass) as being very good and it...More

We have been to Rome seven times in sixteen years and originally got a tip to try this trattoria. During our first visits, there was no written menu and things were very rustic. This began to change a bit, I believe, after the Trattoria was...More

We had been here on previous trips and while the food was still of high quality, they seem to be yielding every so slightly to the tourist pressure. They used to close from 2:30 till 5:00 but now they stay open. Portions seem to be...More

A small, rustic place with just several positions in the menu. The portions are big, and you'll get a really unique experience while communicating with strict, but somewhat fatherly owner. Carbonara costs 10€.

We visited Da Sergio on our first night in Rome. We wanted something hearty, unpretentious and "Roman". This fit the bill for all 3. We had the mixed antipasto, carbonara and cacio e pepe. Generous portions that were simple in their presentation and deeply satisfying....More

Between Campo de Fiori and the river Tevere, this is a really traditional roman tavern, mainly visited by local customers, very few turists. The pasta dishes (carbonara, cacio e pepe, etc.) are really good. There is a further choice of meat main dishes. Very interesting...More

Da Sergio is a great place for lunch or dinner, offering a nice selection of seasonal Roman staples, at reasonable prices. Despite the central location, it's far from being a tourist trap. We like coming back here in the spring especially for the mixed Contorni...More

I never leave Rome without at least one bowl of the cacio e pepe at Da Sergio. So simple and perfect. Order some wine and enjoy your own personal pitcher.
