Came out of the Palazzo Barberini filled up on art and hungry for sustenance of the earthly variety. Passed by all the kitschy places with fake vines and bottles hanging and menus translated into English on stands by the front door and saw an unassuming modern-decor restaurant filled with Italian businessmen in suits. Worth a shot, I thought, and oh... More

Wonderful small restaurant. Went there for dinner tonight after trying last week upon our arrival in Rome, but they were closed for vacation. Glad we made it back! Didn't have a reservation, so arrived right when they opened and got a table for 4. If we had come 20 minutes later, we would have been out of luck, so the... More

We came here on our first night in Rome and were lucky to get a table we arrived at opening and most of the tables were reserved. The food was great here we started off with the antipasti which I normally dislike at home but it was out of this world here. The zucchini with balsamic, roasted red peppers, grilled... More

Excellent traditional Roman cuisine. The special house starter is close to simply perfect. I had the ossobuco which was grand and my other half had the ox tail. Heavenly. For side plates we had spinach and carciofi alla romana. Finished dinner with freshly made creme caramel. Recommended with no reservations.

This is a traditional family style place and it is brilliant, its always busy and as per half the places in rome closed in august, service is so fun a lot of charm and joking with customers especially from the older gentleman waiter. Recommend the seafood spaghetti so good but all the food and wine is excellent. Love reading the... More

We went there twice and on both occasions enjoyed a most Italian experience. The food is traditional and genuine, the service very friendly, personal and efficient. We had some good nights, but it's not cheap.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
