there is few good beers but food is not amazing. Located in a cellar with a 80's atmosphere. Nice service.

We stopped here for dinner one night while in Rome since it was close to the apartment we rented. We shared an order of spaghetti and an Italian appetizer (meats, cheeses, olives & fried zucchini). Both were very good and portions were just right. Service was attentive and good wine & beer. We liked watching the old music videos on... More

Stopped in for a quick and quiet dinner on a Sunday night. Just had the Gnocchi which melted in my mouth! The service was great and the price very reasonable :)

Went here hoping for some microbrews, but there was only macros available. Draught is peroni, guinness, some belgian-style red. Bottles include heineken, stella artois, budweiser, leffe, etc. Food is pretty average, not bad, but not great wither. Standard italian stuff. The 80s videos are funny though. :)

Visited on a mid-week lunchtime and it was busy with what seemed like locals, which is always a good sign. It's a cosy cellar space and appears to be family-run, with gran doing the cooking and granddaughter waiting on the 15 or so tables. The service was friendly. Well-priced food and it was good to see that aside from the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
