Initially, we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices. The waitress who took our order was unfriendly and surly, whilst another seemed very happy and trying very hard. We waited some time, my starter arrived, I ate it and finished, there was no sign of my friend's starter. The other courses arrived in a completely random order, my friend's dessert... More

The food is good and the price is very fair. Tried the spring roll and fried dumpling for starter, both were good. For main dishes, ordered chicken, pork and beef. The chicken was the best out of three. Also had the fried rice which was also okay. In all, pretty nice "real" Chinese food.

We hardly expected to find a Chinese restaurant in downtown Rome, but we did, and just a couple of short blocks from our hotel. Yeah, I know, in Rome you should eat Italian food, but we were there for a week and wanted a little variety. The owners and staff do not speak much English, but were very friendly. The... More

My family and I were Chinese, entered the restaurant at 7plus pm and the servers were all eating, which is fine except that it took very long to be served. They know we are tourist and we do not get the free appetisers that other regulars get. Another tourist commented the same thing. The noodles were overly salty and the... More

Curiosity led us here and we were so sad to waste a meal on this place. You will be disappointed if you know what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. The fried rice was the best dish, but slightly burnt. Shrimp toast was also burnt, lemon chicken was overpoweringly tart, the sizzling squid was the toughest we'd had in... More

Visited twice, food was excellent, all dishes seemed to be made from fresh produce. Staff and value for money was exceptional. Restaurant was full with locals and tourists. (Also you can only eat so much pizza, no matter how good they are)

Nice Chinese restaurant near the Roman Forum. When there, they spoke no English, we no Italian, but we were able to order from the multilingual menu and enjoyed a great Chinese meal. They brought a liter of water to the table - included in the price of the meal. No fortune cookie, but we were given two sticks of gum... More

The food is just ok. But the service is super bad.(中文评论) They are super racism for tourism. 1. They knew that we were tourism at the beginning, so that We didn't get the free starter or water as all the other table. When my mom asked them about the free appetizer, they said because they assume us wouldn't like it.... More

I am Chinese and I lived in California, New York and currently in Beijing. I think I know well enough what Chinese food "should" taste like and what westernized Chinese food is usually about (Panda Express etc) to my surprise, the two things I ordered (bean sprout and lemon chicken) tasted almost like Chinese ( I could taste the sautéed... Looking for a break from standard Italian fare and having take out, my family was pleased to find Citta. While portions were smaller, they were priced accordingly and allowed us to order more variety. They had a different take on standard dishes yet vegetables were fresh and seasoning was pleasant.
