Found this place by accident after visiting Pantheon. We took Cafe Napoli which was good strong coffee. Also enjoyed a piece of chocolate-cherrycake, yam! Nice, maybe even a little fancy Cafe.

Had just visited Pantheon and was on way to the Trevi when we chanced upon this place. The counter was clearly full of Italians so as we were needing a quick coffee we dived in. Very good espresso and a cappuccino for what turned out to be a bargain 2.50 euro. If you are in the area worth trying and... More

An elegant place where the senators and their staff take a relaxing coffee or some dolce or ice cream. Snacks and American Bar also on offer. Lots of locals, not touristy. Not particularly expensive.

Places like this can give you a feeling for what cafe life was like in the past. Plus, if you stay awhile to enjoy the atmosphere, you will probably get to see a number of characters from politics or entertainment - all depends on the day. Doesn't matter if you understand Italian or not, you will see people coming in... More

While looking for a nice coffee place to sit down, we somehow came across this cute, quiet little place in a tiny plaza, which is JUST the kind of place my wife and I like to stop for a caffeine pick-me-up. We sat outside. The waiter was "quick and efficient"- I took it more as "hurrying and rude"; however, despite... More

Stopped in for lunch just before busy time. The coffee (americano) was excellent. My omellete was truly the worst I've ever eaten. Tasteless and tough as shoe leather. My wife's chicken salad was good, but unispired.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
