Went in today for a couple of deserts and a coffee to end the evening. Should have been EUR 10 but they charged us a EUR 5 service charge. 50% of the bill! We saw no warning of this on the signs or menu. They appear to be in the business of ripping off tourists.

Sat with our two little girls - classic and pretty crowded place - ideal afer you visit Explora. All dishes we tried were great. Sat in the second floor, watched the people going by. Great Peroni tap beer.

I was only 3 days in Rome with big expectations of pasta, pizza and gelato. I went to different places, only to discover dissapointment. We decided to visit vila borguese for a bike trip as a last to-do-thing in Rome before leaving, and decided to have lunch at Popolo Cafe randomly. I didnt even look up reviews or anything, it... But they're the same - it is Popolo Caffe Completely stumbled on this charming place after visiting Maxxi Modern Museum, located a short tram ride away The food is soooo delicious, fresh and unpretentious - more like simple good... Opposite Popolo Plaza, next on McDonald. Although it locates at the tourist area but it isn't like a tourist restaurant, seems they service more for local customers. Must try their different kind of fantastic pasta, brilliant!

I can't say enough good things about this little restaurant. My family and I ate here pretty much every night during our visit to Rome in May/June. The prices are great, the food is delicious and the service is exceptional. We tried a variety of plates (pizza, pasta, salads) and were never disappointed. The staff were all very kind and... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
