This place is a must eat restaurant. We were there in July, top of the tourist season. The waiter was nice and the service was somewhat slower than one might have in America but I assume it was due to the number of people they served. Our drinks were served immediately (their house house is fantastic), and then we waited... More

this was near our hotel - and seemed OK from outside. But there was a very limited menu - more expensive than other places we ate and the food was by far the worst I have had in Italy. a real disappointment.

This was our first meal in Rome and it was awful. We were told the carbonara was a specialty so we ordered it thinking it was going to be good. WRONG. I felt like a slug eating a bowl of salt. Not good. And then our waiter laughed at us when asked if it was supposed to be like this.... More

Awwwful service, and horrible cheif. Ordered a prized dish called the cabonara. Usually it requires spagetti but subs out other noodles if need be ( one would assume a prize dish would be true to basic ingrediants). The one that came in the dish was rigatoni. No big deal there. Basic ingrediants are with eggs, cheese (Pecorino Romano or Parmigiano-Reggiano),... More

Of the many restaurants that we ate at during our 10 days stay in Rome this one is the only one that I will write a review not because the food at the others was not good. We went 3 times to Angelino dal 1899 not only because the food was fantastic but the warm welcome and kindness of the... More

We came here for a family meal after visiting the Colosseum. The food was fantastic, the veal was tasty and the pork lions was so tender, it melted in the mouth. dessert was amazing, we had tiramisu and a cake with nuts in which I cannot remember the name. We loved the decor of the restaurant, it was more like... More

We waited for almost one and half hour for our food. At the end they forgot to bring our drinks but they didn't forget to add it to the receipt!!. We asked tree times for water and after 20 minutes they brought water! The restaurant was not crowded at all, but it took too long to serve the meals. We... More

Description
The story begins in 1899 when he created the restaurant a stone's throw from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele where it is one of the great markets of the city. In the 30's, Angelo Potetti in turn buy the restaurant. At the end of the 50s, gives it to his daughter Ilde. We will cook for more than 45 years. At the age of 84 years passes the stove to his son Stephen. After a few years it will sell, but the family story will continue as it will be one of the cousins to take the challenge, helped by two other friends. The angelino Bros were born.

Today Angelino still remains a place of typical Roman cuisine. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Esquilino district, within walking distance of the Colosseum and San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Maria Maggiore. Eat us remains an authentic Roman experience.
