This was BY FAR my favorite restaurant in Rome. Stayed in the city for 30 days and tried tons of restaurants, none came close to this one. Great food (seriously the prosciutto and mushroom pizza OMG!) at affordable prices. The service was the most friendly. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, when you're dining solo,... More

We ordered a variery of dishes, from pizza, through mixed grill and fillet, to Burger. The food tasted good. However, the burger was served after 15 minutes, and the rest of the food was served at various intervall,... More

My friend and I were staying around the corner from La Mucca in San Lorenzo. We tripped upon it on our first night after arriving in Rome at 9pm. It was very full. There were menus in both Italian and English. We ordered pizza each, mine was the best pizza I have had, and they were huge, we could hardly... More

Out of the restaurants we visited in rome, this was the best. Food was excellent. We had very well made tuna, and also a great lentil soup and nice salad. Price was reasonable.

This small gem was busy with locals of all ages and a few tourists. We both ordered the individual pizzas which are very large and delicious. I had a mushrroom with marinara sauce. My husband orderd a white pizza. We enjoyed a large carafe of their house red wine as well as espresso and one custard dessert to share. Food... More

I had dinner with colleagues and we all took two-coarse meals with wine and beer ... a lot of beer and we spent 30€ each. The meat was great and people in the restaurant are kind. I strongly suggest this place. Thank you Francesco ;-)

We order bruschette and pasta; they were excellent! The service is very well organised and all waiters are very helpful and friendly. We... More

Nice little restaurant in the student district of Rome. The food was good (not fantastic) and reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly.

At first sight we thought it would be a bit "tourist" oriented, but in fact it is not. The food is very good (porcini notably), waiters are very friendly, and the bill is ok (wie is good and not too expensive). The terrasse on the street is great, very calm and the overall experience is great, to be recommended.

Thank frank P

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
