I visited this restaurant as I was looking for somewhere in the centre and it was very well priced compared to the other restaurants at the Pantheon. The food itself was not the best I have had in Rome, but the service and the friendliness of the waiters more than made up for it! The portion sizes were good and... More

L'Arcano is placed in the city center, near Pantheon, and you can enjoy your meal on the citywalk. Its very nice and the service is just great. Food is tasteful, italian cuisine. Prices are acceptable for Rome. I would recommend a visit.

We happened upon this restaurant whilst ambling around the Pantheon area in the day and decided to try in the night. We were a party of 6 and had a short wait as the restaurant was full. A great buzz and atmosphere in te restaurant. We all had bruschetta to start (different types) and a mix of pastas and risottos... More

After the second visit in 4 days, I thought this charming and authentic restaurant deserved a great review. Service is relaxed but that only adds to the experience, food was tasty and well presented. Wine was good and the chocolate board most appreciated. A lovely spot amongst a lot of tourist traps in a very popular area.

I knew it, but still went there because was tired and hungry after a long walk during all day. Pizza (frozen) with "Buffalo mozzarella" (not real) was the worst in Italy ever. Home made Raviolis with tomato-cream sauce was let's say possible to eat but rather not. We tried our best and finished half of the portions. Truly to be... More

Good atmosphere and very close to the Pantheon. The food is not amazing and aperitifs, desserts and drinks are very expensive.

I'm italian and during the cruise with my girlfriend I went in Rome to visit the city. Walking through the city we found this restaurant. Outside it looks good and we decided to join in. The waiter show us the table e we start to read the list. We decide to take pasta amatriciana. We waited more than 20 minutes.... More

Waitress threw the tableware at us. We ordered a bottle of white wine and there was no sampling offered, glasses just filled up and no ice bucket to keep it chilled. I ordered pasta and it was not great. Some pieces cooked and some still hard. Awful service, waiting 20 minutes to order then 20 minutes between courses and possibly... More

Lovely food and great service. It was busy when we arrived but we got a table straight away. The staff were friendly and helpful but not over the top. Thoroughly enjoyed the ossobuco and Barolo wine. After coffee we were served with homemade biscuits(to die for)amaretto biscuits and chocolate. Perfect!

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
