Good atmosphere and very close to the Pantheon. The food is not amazing and aperitifs, desserts and drinks are very expensive.

I'm italian and during the cruise with my girlfriend I went in Rome to visit the city. Walking through the city we found this restaurant. Outside it looks good and we decided to join in. The waiter show us the table e we start to read the list. We decide to take pasta amatriciana. We waited more than 20 minutes.... More

Waitress threw the tableware at us. We ordered a bottle of white wine and there was no sampling offered, glasses just filled up and no ice bucket to keep it chilled. I ordered pasta and it was not great. Some pieces cooked and some still hard. Awful service, waiting 20 minutes to order then 20 minutes between courses and possibly... More

Lovely food and great service. It was busy when we arrived but we got a table straight away. The staff were friendly and helpful but not over the top. Thoroughly enjoyed the ossobuco and Barolo wine. After coffee we were served with homemade biscuits(to die for)amaretto biscuits and chocolate. Perfect!

My husband and I had spotted l'Arcano during our visit to Rome in 2015. We had decided to try this restaurant this year. First, you are not really welcomed as a customer but as the next tourist to fill another table. The starter (a salad) was served but we couldn't eat it because of the plates repulsing smell. We alerted... More

Good looking place, but food is crap! We ordered pizza and osso buco. Pizza was frozen, osso buco tasted like cantina meal. In the end, we didn't pay for the pizza. All in all, do not recommend!

We had to wait for 10 min for a table, not long for a busy Saturday night and TOTALLY worth it. As starters we shared a focaccia and the lasagna. This was the best we have ever tasted! After we had the saltimbocca and the spaghetti Bolognese. Delicious! Very friendly staff! Absolutely worth to go here!!!!!

We enjoyed a lovely evening here in October. I had not read the reviews on TA before I ate here and find myself at odds with some of the remarks. The service was not fast but I didn't expect it or particularly want it. The food was good - we ate the cold meat selection, the scaloppine, a salad and... More

We had a very nice lunch, eating outside. The food was very good, the fried fresh porcini where a special treat, the pasta dishes were generous. Unfortunately, the service is poor and the waiters are more interested in their phones than the customers. The prices are in line with other restaurants.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
