We were looking around for Asian food after days of pastas and pizzas and so this restaurant provided us with a welcome change. The bonus was that it was only walking distance from our hotel. The gentleman who welcomed us into the restaurant was extremely hospitable and helpful in making recommendations. As the portions were large, even for the 2... More

Went with a friend for our evening meal while we stayed down the road, we had walked past it a few times during our time in Rome and it always had people in it and you could tell they weren't tourists which is a good sign so we thought we would give it a go. The food is good and... More

Yami is probably the best Chinese restaurant I have visited in Rome, and at a really unbeatable price. Restaurant is located near Termini Station and opens from 11am daily, The food was great and portions are large. A plate of fried rice and a vegetable stir-fry and soup will make a great meal for 2 and will cost less than... More

My friends and I ended up in this restaurant because our favourite Japanese restaurant was closed and because the reviews on trip advisor were great. We weren't welcomed in a polite manner, the place stank of fried food and it didn't seem very clean. Anyway the prices seemed good and so we decided to stay. The waitress didn't take the... More

Saw this restaurant on my way to the hotel. I had been craving Asian food. Unfortunately the Italian Fushion was a bit too much. The curry was just rice and no other item. Overall wasn't unpleasant, but not what I was expecting. Price was good though

We ordered three different types of rice for each, but we soon regretted it because of their big portion. We also ordered four extra dishes, including my favorite (fried vegetables with shrimps). The staff were very friendly, and the boss is a native Chinese speaker, making the conversation much easier. For people who are tired of Italian food during their... More

Went there with my family while on vacation to take a break from Italian food. It took us 1.25 hours to get our food and that was not an exaggeration. The food was what you would find in an amateur kitchen. We had the lemon chicken, sweet and sour, fried rice, beef noodle soup and a tofu dish. None met... More

Best chinese food I have tried in a long time! Although wait time for food was a bit long, it was definitely worth it. We ended up eating here twice during our 2 day stay in Rome. Highly recommend!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
