It was a luck we got a free table, otherwise you must have a reservation. The waitters are in a big big hurry, serving as fast they can, arranging moving the tables, there was a lot of noise. We eated some seafood - good taste...More

Last visited Vecchio Roma 3yrs ago and loved it then. Couldn't wait to come back to Rome and head there. I was not disappointed. We (3 of us) have eaten there at least twice a week for 3 weeks and have never been disappointed. Love...More

The Carbonara was great! Portions were huge and we couldn't finish. My fiancé liked his bucatini flambé too. Our waiter spoke good English. Pity the WiFi was not working. We went on a Sunday night and it was opened.

We enjoyed the best pasta in Rome during a 4 day trip here. The staff is very busy (since it's such a good place and everyone is welcome) but manages to remain friendly and able to provide recommendations. We had the house specialty (bucatini all'matricana...More

This hidden restaurant was recommended to me by some locals. What a great find. Their cacio pepe pasta is amazing, as is the amatriciana. In fact, everything I had there was great. The place is packed and the waitstaff lively and attentive. Make sure you...More

Again a must visit restaurant, only Italians inside and the food amazing. Like travel bloggers (greeknomads.com) we always try to find restaurants that locals go. Try the specialty of the house you will be stunned. Pro tip it's closed from 3-7.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up

The best is to go there one day before or earlier the same day you'd like to reserve, and ask them to reserve a table for you. Quite annoying that they don't pick up the phone but worth it for the food ;)

if you called on sunday they wont answer, they are closed. Try their number again and I believe you need to dial 011 before the number...If not they have an app weirdly, maybe you can reserve from there as I am not too sure... More
