Perfect for a friendly tasty lunchtime meal, very reasonably priced, stick with the pasta and a glass of house red! Very quirky and old fashioned in an authentic way.

We had a great time at Melo. Not too busy, close to our hotel. Food was just what we needed. Simple but well cooked and presented by a friendly family team. So glad we came here. All other guests were locals including members of clergy.
The owners and staff are very friendly. Waiter also brought out a special drink for one of our party whose birthday it was. Food was excellent and prices were reasonable.
Amazing local restaurant, very good prices, friendly atmosphere. Good choice in the city centre!!!!!
Great italian food, owners are very lovely. We enjoyed our stay!! Prices are very fair and location is superb. The owners talk even polish so we had a great talk!
Very good food and Aperol Spritz 🥰 friendly people and good music! Recommend carbonara and lasagna.
Lovely, jovial owner. Authentic, full flovor, delicious meals. Veal very tender! Quaint, local family dining.
This is one of the best meals we have ever had and we have traveled extensively. The authenticity of the setting is matched by the quality of the food. Don’t be put off by the seemingly modest exterior. This is a must visit. All the...dishes we had were 10/10 but I would reserve special mention for the pasta with anchovies- simply the best pasta I have ever had. As long f this were not enough to sell the place the prices were incredibly modest.More
A tiny family run spot that you’ll miss seeing if you’re not looking (around the corner from the NH Hotel next to a Tobacco Shop). The inside feels like Nonna’s basement from 1982, but the food was delicious. My husband, a true Sicilian had the...pasta with sardines (two thumbs up) and I the veal with mushrooms; both were truly delicious. I cut my veal with just a fork, and mopped up my plate with bread. If you want a cozy meal with authentic food, come to Melo.More
Food was good, simple, and reminded me a lot of low-key Italian food in northeast USA. A nice reprive from Roman food, some seafood options and simple pasta pomodoro hit the spot when I was so over eating cacio e pepe... The staff was friendly,...the owner (I think) circled around to make sure everyone was satisfied with their meal. The only thing I can say is the music playing is very old fashioned. I couldn't figure out if it was a touristy thing, or if this is just an old style chosen by the owners because they liked it. Or maybe a Sicilian thing, it's listed as a sicilian restaurant. It was a lot, and at least one song made me laugh out loud because it was what I think of in a 1950s American stereotype scene of an Italian restaurant. I'm surprised I didn't hear "That's Amore" it was so on the nose. Overall though it's away from the riff raff of Roma and was different than the other restaurants I went to during my trip, in a good way.More

We stumbled upon Melo on our way to the Trevi Fountain as we were looking for a family restaurant with traditional Italian food. This was everything we were looking for and more! You felt at home when you walked in. The servers were always checking...on you. The food was SUPER FRESH!! That bruschetta in the pics was unlike anything we’ve had before. The portion sizes were very very fair with lots of amazing quality food. We also got a carafe of wine which was delicious, as well. Please, please, do not skip out on a meal here! We will definitely be back!!More
Brilliant food with brilliant staff. Had the carbonara. Was great. Servers were very friendly and helpful
Lovely authentic family restaurant. Very relaxed with beautiful food and very reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the lamb and also loved the chicken with aubergine in a tomato sauce with a bottle of Nero D’avola. The sides of potatoes and spinach were excellent. Finished with...fresh Canolo and some limoncello. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.More
Fantastic food, truly authentic, best lasagna ever! Small place. Better to have a reservation if going during high demand meal times.
