We had a great appetizer of fried vegetables, hartchokes roman juish style and fried zucchini flower with anchives and mozzarella cheese. A few of us had "pasta al dente" greatly cooked with a very nice tomato souce. Others a tasty thin pizza Roma style. At end cakes! Pear and chocolate cake, cake with marmelate, another cake with ricotta cheese and... More

Very friendly owners and staff. Great food and ambiance. The antipasto was fantastic, as was every entree we tried. Ice cold beer, and a great selection of wine. Desserts were fresh. The highlight was a Mandarin sorbet. Best sorbet I've every tried!!

Off the tourist route, this big bight old fashioned place serves the local Rome community. Excellent food Since 1930. Closed Monday. Great pizza bianco. Fagioli white beans Pizza with zucchi flowers and alici anchovies. Down a quiet street on the opposite side of the Tiber from high tourist Rome.Simple dated decor with salmon pink table cloths and waiters who have... More

If you are looking for an authentic, neighborhood, family-oriented restaurant, in Rome, look no further. We had a wonderful dinner of pizza, pasta, and fried vegetables and cheese. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. An authentic Roman restaurant. The homemade desserts were a great way to end our meal.

Excellent food, happy family owned restaurant and best supplì ever! Super thin pizza, as the Roman culture says, so you can easily eat two but don't forget you'll have the best cakes to eat later. Recommend it!

Great food, nice ambiance, this family owned restaurant had all a traveler could want. We started with the delicious vegetable cold table which was laden with Italian vegetable delights. Next we shared pasta and pizza. All were delicious.

We expected better ... expensive and not a great quality! It has been a pity because the place around is very beautiful!

We had a very enjoyable dinner at Berninetta. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and they provided English menus for us. Several of the waiters spoke excellent English and were very helpful describing the items. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Compared to what you would pay in the US at an Olive... Our waiter pointed to our table from across the restaurant, which wasnt busy. Didnt recommend anything or take our order or offer drinks for 5 or 6 minutes which left us feeling uncomfortable. Being from the UK and a paying customer, I wanted to order a side with our mains (which was not fresh seafood and overcooked). The waiter cut... More

We arrived late in Rome (Pratti district) and La Berninetta was recommended to us by Stefano the owner of Castel Sant'Angelo Inn where we stayed. Location was a few steps away down the street which was perfect as we were tired and just looking for a light meal. There were a lot of locals dining there so we knew if... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
