We ate lunch here on a Saturday and found the owner friendly and helpful when we were trying to work out which dishes were vegetarian. The food was delicious and the restaurant felt like a cosy haven away from the busy central streets!

I have been living in rome for 4 years now and its safe to say that i have tried a lot of restaurants around the city, however Taverna Ripetta will always be one of my favorite. The whole experience there is memorable, the food is perfectly cooked leaving you craving the meal the whole week, and the hospitality there is... More

We ate here as a family of four the last night of a two week trip in Rome and Tuscany. It's a relatively small and the proprietress greeted us as we came in. We were a little on the early side and were only the second party but others came and the place had a very warm feel. We started... More

Another of those small little rustic Rome restaurants of which there are many. Friendly service. Odd inclusion of Middle East dishes - the lady working there is Egyptian. You can try falafel, brik, hummus or baba ganoush. Makes a change when you are exhausted of pasta. euro 2 cover charge. Starter was very small and I am not sure if... More

We walk from our hotel at Campo de Fiori to Museo dell'Ara Pacis to see the Picasso photo exhibit. On the way, we pass Taverna Ripetta and think, lunch! The proprietor is a sweetheart who serves a couple of gratis glasses of prosecco just to whet our whistles. Beverages - My wife got a glass of awesome wine and I... More

This restaurant has both an owner and a chef with roots in Egypt. Thus, in addition to the excellent Italian fare which is presented there is an opportunity to sample some mid-eastern dishes as well. They are very accommodating and if you decide to come back, they will prepare a dish for which you wish as long as the ingredients... More

The best part of how I end my time in Rome. The food is SERIOUSLY AMAZING from APPETIZERS TO DESSERT. They make you feel as part of family and you forget you are in a restaurant. The ambiance gives you a sense of how italian enjoy the simple things of life. I do not only recommend it,I urge you not... More

This is a small restaurant with a flare for middle eastern offerings in its antipasto menu. . As said previously, the owner demonstrates pride in her food and services. The owner/cook frequently serves the food herself. Plus the services was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. And I had the pleasure of educating our sweet waitress that "aubergine"... We stumbled upon this cozy little spot and had the most enjoyable meal. The owner and her grandson made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and well paired with recommended wine. The owner has a tremendous amount of pride in her restaurant and her food. You almost get the sense you're part of the family. The only problem;... More
