I know it's a dumb American thing to travel to another country and look for the things that I can find at home, but I'm a little homesick and I needed a burger. This burger had a toasted bun with crispy sesame seeds. It was the best burger that I have had in a long time !! Definitely a don't... More

Popped in here one evening for a drink. Difficult to judge what the atmosphere was like as we were the only two there. Didn't eat but had one of their absolutely delightful cocktails while the better half settled for a beer.

I went here because it was close to the hotel. The place has a good atmosphere, good drinks, it is not expensive, and has friendly staff

This place was 10 meters from our hotel so we went there after a long walk. And then you could sit there quietly but at night its very busy.Very nice and friendly people. They also have good snacks.

Forget the waiters that lure you to their restaurants. A good beer (Irish or German) and just fantastic pizza here!

Top place to rest your feet. Found by accident, so it came as a suprise when the pizza we ordered turned out to be one of our best meals yet

Perfect for happy hours, Anima Mundi provides fresh Italian munchies with your drink. We stopped for dinner as there was no restaurants in the hotel area. Main meal was ok but it is much better for a happy hour!

Found this place on the way back after a visit to the Coliseum and Roman Forum. Great food and service. Can sit outside and enjoy the day. Ravioli is amazing.

Don't expect to much from the food but great to sit outside for drinks in this quiet neighborhood pub.

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
