When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great find, evening meal near our hotel. Excellent value for money and great authentic experience. S7ggest the Suppli and the Polpette. Great choice of craft beers also.

Our family of 5 had a fantastic dinner - great pizza, pasta and dessert. Reasonably priced and very good service.

I visited this lovely place after 5 years. As always note 10/10 👌🫶👌Beautiful, friendly and traditional Italian pizzeria. One of the best pizza I ever had! And the price is extremely fair! Had a pizza with buffalo mozzarella for 9€ and tiramisu for 6€ with...the highest quality 🇮🇹 Delicious pasta ❤️ I will come back soon! ♥️👍🏻More

Six of us had an almost perfect evening here in the restaurant. Without a reservation on the recommendation of a local. The food was super tasty and the price was absolutely right. No rip-off of tourists. Many typical Roman dishes, all fresh and an individual...selection of desserts. Too bad only that you can not sit outside and the air conditioning was set to ice time. For this, the staff was super friendly.More

The main room was cozy, and full of life, but it was full, so they took us to the back room, witch was very, very hot. If they tell you to go to the second room, just wait tell there is a free table. Otherwise,...great food, a bit expensive, and the staff was always very kind and helpful. Had a great Lunch!More

I’m glad we went to this restaurant in our last night in Rome. The service is excellent, the best we had in our entire 2 weeks trip in Italy, the servers were super friendly and smiling, which we don’t see often in Italy. We ordered...a bottle of wine, fried olives to start, then we shared a salad and 2 pasta dishes and we shared a dessert as well. Everything was delicious and a very reasonable price. A must try restaurant!More

Visited here on a busy Sunday night and was shown to a table in a heated and well enclosed Al fresco area. The menu is quite different from the norm, I had diced fries with cheese and black pepper to start, and they far exceeded...expectations. My rigatoni with smoky bacon was fantastic too as was Debs with a tomato sauce. Desserts were also exciting, three tier trifles and chocolate cakes. There was a fridge full of interesting Italian craft beers too. From smoked to grape ales. The young lady who served us was fantastic, so busy, friendly and efficient. The meal was Good value too. The table of priests next to us had the pizza baskets and they looked amazing! Highly recommend.More

Visited with my son and we both really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in this small authentic Italian restaurant off the beaten track. The pizza and carbonara were very good but the home made desserts are their real speciality and are excellent as evidenced by our chocolate...layer cake and custard type cheesecake. The young lady serving us was fantastic very friendly and attentive. The only negative was the surly attitude of the older male possibly the owner who we perceived didn’t welcome non locals to his establishment and was particularly dismissive and ignorant with my son when he was paying the bill hence my four star rating. We did however leave a further separate tip in addition to the 3 euro service charge for the young lady who did make us feel valued customers.More

I was trying to find a good pizzeria which is nearby. I went to it and was not impressed so I decided to look around nearby. I found this restaurant and I am really glad that I did. The waitresses were really helpful on the...occasions I visited and recommended dishes that I would otherwise not have known about. I particularly liked their tartufata pizza with potatoes. The restaurant has a nice homely feel that is very inviting. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend that you try out this restaurant. You will not be disappointedMore

Il Brigantino is located just outside of turist areas on narrow street. Food is really good, both pasta and pizza and waitress was really friendly and she was speaking fluent English language. We spent four days in Rome and this was the best restaurant where...we visited. They have also pretty large selection of beers.More

We always look for a restaurant where locals eat and this was a great find. We ate here on two separate evenings and on each occasion there were parties of Italians. It has a very authentic feel with wood panelling and old posters on the...wall. As to the food, the pizzas were great, the rigatoni al'amatriciana really good but my daughter had the basket pizza with pork and blue cheese and that was an absolute standout. The bruschetta starter with pumpkin and smoked ham was delicious and the pistachio tiramisu - something of a departure from the standard - was incredibly more-ish. As somebody else has said the house wine - red this time - is a trifle rough but amazingly cheap. The waitress was multi-lingual and all the staff were very friendly.More

Just rang il Brigantino and they tell me there is no egg in the pizza or the pasta. There are lots of choices without nuts or walnuts. Regards Susannah
