Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had flagged this restaurant up as it was near our hotel BUT mainly because it has gluten free options as my wife has celiac disease. We had booked a table online as it was our first night in Rome. The restaurant is very cosy...but does have a few tables. We were greeted by the owner Massimo who is a friendly guy and shown to our table. We ended up eating in here 5 times during our weeks stay, we tried another restaurant nearby on the second night and were bitterly disappointed. We had a variety of dishes including lasagne, fettuccine bolognaise, grilled lamb chops, carbonara and pork ribs, sweets included catalana, panna cotta (both gluten free), tiramisu, and homemade sweets. My wife’s favourite was the grilled chicken, and mine was the lasagne. We would also recommend the house red which not only tasted great, was a snip at 7 euros for a half litre. The restaurant does get busy so best to book a table to avoid disappointment. We would like to thank Massimo for a warm welcome and great food. Service can be slow at times as there is only 2 front of house staff but worth the wait.More

Me and my partner visited this restaurant ,hoping for a great Italian experience. We are both chefs so we definitely know our food. When we walked down the stairs into the restaurant a waitress with boxes of ice cream in her hand was rushing through towards...the kitchen and pulling a face on us (almost like how dare are you walking in) attitude. So we let her pass, meanwhile the other waiter tall ,wearing black uniform shouting for us to sit down! The whole restaurant was staring at us like some kind of aliens 👽. I personally was almost ready to walk out but I couldn't be asked to walk elsewhere as we were hungry and tired ! starter 6/10 lack of flavour, batter was tick on the courgette flowers and the way we had dumped on the table front of us was not acceptable and rude ! Wine was very delightful we had the house white ,which pretty much saved the night! Now to the main course mine was 5/10 seafood spaghetti. My partner had the porchini tagliatelle 3/10 (and that's being generous !) My seafood pasta was tasteless, muscles was very sad looking and not much flavour. The porchini tagliatelle was horrendous! Underseasoned wishy washy and dry ! Dessert to try to cheer us up was the tiramisu 5/10 runny and tasteless again! I had the panna cotta whith caramel sauce 3/10 far too set in the dish and the sauce was just so sickly and too sweet ! The waitress was so rude she was keep clearing away my partners plates but not mine even though I told her I have finished too. Also saw another table with a disabled child who was eating her chips and she also tried to take away he chips even though she wasn't finished (which they have told her and she didn't seem to like ) Asked for the bill ,I personally just wanted to get out but as quickly as possible, but the bill took ages. There is a sigh says that you have to remain seated until they put the bill on your table! I never heard this rule before! We have paid pretty much exact amount what we owed and left . Normally we are very generous on tips and we do appreciate the hospitality ,however not on this occasion! I would also like to mention that the music was played on the night was super inappropriate for a restaurant like that ! I was also reading the owners answers to the reviews (which he or she pretty much just replies to the worst ones) Very denial and not listening to their customers . I have seen one in particular when he or she tried to tell a customer that they should of said something there ad then instead of writing on the reviews! Dear owner, not all customers like to make a fuss and embarrass you front of others in your own restaurant, but that doesn't mean that they were happy with your service neither of your food ! Also if they did complain at your restaurant then that would of ruined their evening even more ,so in a way you are quite lucky to get a bad review here instead of in your restaurant. All you have to do is listen to your customers and try to learn how to take criticism! You are in a business where you always will have bad and good reviews and have to accept it . Anyway essay is done! Please do try to take people's criticism on board with a more positive attitude 🙂More
