Sunday lunch for couples with outdoor accommodation. The outside is large and perhaps too overcrowded. It might be nicer to have lunch with tables that are too close together. The service was a little slow at the start, about 35-40 minutes to start eating, but then it gradually improved. We asked for a house appetizer and some fish tasting, leaving the choice to the waiter. We found ourselves overwhelmed by baby octopus, sardines, sardine meatballs, seafood salad and mussels. All excellent and of good quality. We continue with a pasta alla norma, good (but shouldn't aubergines be fried?) and a mixed fish grill where in particular the swordfish skewer was excellent and tasty but the swordfish slice was too dry, stringy and overcooked (perhaps it was been cooked and annealed). Everything was accompanied by a good white wine with bubbles. To conclude, a single portion of cassata and a small cannoli. Normal cassata, cannoli the best. To finish, I have a coffee and I ask for a barricaded grappa, specifying room temperature and after confirmation from the waiter, a good one arrives but unfortunately cold for me. We go to pay and understand that the fish samples we asked for have been transformed into three different appetizers, served as such in short. Alright, we are in chaos and the quantity brought doesn't surprise us now, but maybe if someone asks for a taste of fish, that's what he meant.
So in summary, everything is excellent and of refined quality at the right price but we work on transparency and service and two final pieces of advice. The first is for the manager: it is not necessary to have a packed place, otherwise the service will suffer. The second is for those who want to try it: go there but choose any weekday.

We have been customers of this restaurant for many years now, the only one we are willing to frequent regularly in Rome. From work we know a good part of Italian restaurants and we can safely say that it is very difficult to find such a reliable and serious place. Courtesy, competence and quality are lavished on every visit here. The waiters, kind and smiling, do not bring dishes to the table, but a corner of the sea, the pastry chefs do not only offer desserts but introduce the light and color of an age-old culture. Don Felice, always friendly and welcoming, knows how to make tired and savvy travelers like us feel at home and give hours of joy.

“Come, come, we'll have an aperitif too”. We sat down, ordered two cokes and a caponata, everything arrived at the table. They told us "we'll bring you two appetizers", they brought french fries, octopus, bruschetta, arancino. Wow, what a rich aperitif! Too bad we ended up with the bill for EVERY course!!! 30 EUR!!!
If you tell me I'll bring you two appetizers you can't choose 4 courses for me and then charge me for them, we thought it was an aperitif mix. Smart guys huh?

We were reccommended this restaurant from our host as we were staying right next door. We were offered a menu with little to no detail about each dish. I consulted with the waiter for some explanation of certain items and asked if we could have Bruschetta. He said they didn't do it. That should have been the red flag.
We ordered a meal each, my friends pasta was raw and mine less than rateable. Hers went back for further cooking only to still have raw patches in the pasta. We decided to leave went to pay for what we did eat only to discover that there must be 2 menus, one for tourists (us) and the other for locals because out came bruschetta! We had been travelling southern Italy for over 2 weeks so we were well seasoned but this was very disappointing to say the least. Don't bother unless you speak full Italian

This place is worth a trip outside the tourist hotspots. Me and my wife were walking from St Peter’s square in the Vatican City towards the olimpico (to watch the Lazio v Napoli game) and stumbled across this restaurant. We weee offered a table outside (which suited us!) The waiters were welcoming and one of them brought his colleague to translate when taking our order. Very hospitable throughout.
We had the swordfish which was excellent and the fried squid. The fried squid was also excellent (could have done with a bit of lemon mayo or tartar sauce). The portion was that big I couldn’t finish it. I was disappointed in myself!!
The restaurant (inside and outside) was full of locals which is testimony of how good this restaurant is.
If you like seafood then this is the place for you.

The restaurant looks nice at the beginning, but the staff were too busy and stressed out.
The food was very oily, too much even for Sicilian tastes and I know this as I have lived in Sicily for many years.
The result was that two of us threw up during the night and got sick again the next day, with stomach pain.

Tables boarded up in the lower floor with freezing air conditioning or annoying heat. Assigned by the staff a table of nine for eight people with the embarrassing result that arrived the nine patrons made us transfer to the eight without a word of apology from the rough and curly attendant at the room. We had lunch on Easter Monday, no fixed menu but à la carte, plentiful and excellent starters and first courses, desserts with a very wide choice to create a bit of indecision... All spectacular... The flavors of Sicily, directly in Rome !
The staff were all friendly and kind, they also explained the dishes we asked for and were super helpful, even when changing tables on such a busy day, due to the small child. I underline the kindness in changing the high chair, having seen the small child, for greater safety, a small gesture, which is rarely done, but which a parent appreciates very much.
The bill was definitely balanced for what we ate and given the quantities!
To be tried and tried again especially for those who love Sicilian cuisine and fish.

Last night, December 20th, my boyfriend and I decided to return to this place where we had eaten well a month earlier, while last night was a total disappointment, we ordered a peppered dish of inedible mussels and the spaghetti with clams that smelled. All of it it was disputed, and so I didn't eat anything. But the bill arrived in full (58 euros). Total disappointment. He will never see us again. Highly not recommended!

That's great. Being in Sicily without moving from Rome. Top reception by Mr. Cosimo and Mr. Felice. We ordered several dishes taking advice from Mr. Cosimo. All exceptional from appetizers, first to second ending with excellent granita and cannoli.
