After gorging on all things Italian, when we craved for something 'closer to home & heart', this restaurant tucked at barely 5 mins walking distance from Roma Termini (through the Via Marsala exit) came to our rescue. The complementary Papad was crunchy and tasty and the vegetarian dishes that we tried had an authentic taste. Delicious and not too heavy... More

Came here with a friend and since living in Rome have really missed other cultural foods. The currys here are delicious as well as the nan bread and rice. The rice is spiced with cardamom and clove. The nan bread was garlic flavored although you can choose from a number of other options. They also have lunch specials but I... More

I like west indian/indian food alot. After landing here in rome from being here in italy for almost a week, I saw this indian restaurant right next to my hotel (5 mins from the rome train teminal station). I decided to try it since I was "pizza and pasta(ed) out" not knowing how well it may taste. I ordered the... More

Visited Rome after 6 years and some of the Indian restaurants we knew were closed down and there were many new ones that had opened up and New Delhi is one of them. Situated very close to the Roma termini train station (just 5 min walk), it's a nice place to visit if you are missing Indian food and you... More

After nearly 10 days in Europe and away from Indian food, we were practically craving for indian food. Figured out that this place is a couple of blocks from Roma Termini and chanced a visit. It is a really nice place with an extensive indian food menu and very tasty and authentic (Take it from an Indian). There is a... More

We were in Rome for 4 days. And we had lunch as well as dinner here for almost 3 days. The food served here is flavourful. Authentic indian food. A variety of options to try from. Try the Balti chicken, kadhi pakodi, dal, aloo gobi, chicken kadhai, naan, masala chai. Only issue is that the food was a bit oily.... More

Being a vegetarian, this restaurant in Rome was a welcome break from bland continental food that I had to eat. It is nice place and the location is great as well as it is situated at a walking distance from the Roma Termini station. It offers a good number of vegetarian as well as non veg items and the dishes... More

We were happy to come across some authentic Indian food during our two weeks of travel in Rome. The change in flavor pallet was very welcomed and we were excited to eat something spicy! The menu was huge, lots of options (even non-spicy ones if that's your thing) and our food came out quickly and tasted great.

We found this by following the aroma! The décor was fabulous, menu good with lots of authentic side dishes and accompaniments. The atmosphere was wonderful and whilst awaiting our food, a light video played. Very nice touch. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. The servings were generous and the price reasonable.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
