Friendly staff....Food was really good although a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the area...however I benefited from a 10% discount and a free bottle of wine which was good....I recommend the Spaghetti alla Carbonara Tartufata

We were nine people just off the train from Venice and had checked into the hotel. We were offered a "first night" discount if we ate in this restaurant so we took advantage of the offer. Although the restaurant itself looked a little dated, the food turned out to be very good. We mostly chose pasta and pizza and the... More

We had been busy most of the morning and early afternoon and missed lunch. We were in the area of the Trevi Fountain and came across Le Grondici. The menu was appealing, it was mid-afternoon, but they were still serving. There were only 2 other tables in the inside dining area occupied but we were seated off in a corner... More

The food was hot and tasted delicious. The wine that we received was just okay and nothing to write home about. This is a bar first and then a restaurant. They had all the lights on and pop music instead of soft music and ambient lighting as we would have preferred.

Poor management. The manager took our bill and money and didn't bring us our change. When my husband confronted him, 5 minutes later, he pointed us to the servers and left the restaurant. The servers had no idea what was going on. We explained everything to them. The bus boy stepped in to help. The waiter explained that the manager... More

We were staying at the hotel, it was late and we did not want to walk far. The server had to check with the kitchen to see if that were still serving. After a few minutes we were seated outside and provided menus. After several minutes another server showed up want to take our order, I asked for a wine... More

The food and wait staff were above reproach. Every meal was an adventure. The wine list was excellent and extensive.

My father and I visited Rome for a week, and we stayed in the hotel attached to Le Grondici. After getting off the plane and checking into the hotel, we decided to head to the restaurant for dinner. We were greeted warmly by the entire staff, and were waited on by Leo, aka The Most Amazing Server Ever. We sat... More

After sightseeing all day in Rome we happened into Le Grondici and because it was attached to a hotel our overall expectations were pretty low. Man were we wrong!! The service was impeccable from the start through the end of the meal, the chef made our 4 year old little girl home made potato chips as a surprise as she... More

Ate here in 2009 & remembered it well. Are here again today & the food & wine is as fabulous as I remembered! The service was good too. You know you're eating well in Italy when the Italian's eat here too...

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
