We stumbled across the lovely square of Piazza S.Maria in Trastevere while trying to track down a gelato place. It was so beautiful and there were people drinking glasses of fresh orange juice in this cafe and, suddenly, that was all we wanted! So we went in , guessing it might be pricey and ordered 2 glasses of juice. It... More

This Caffe is not for lunch or dinner, but the place for campari orange juice etc. and the place to follow busy life in Trastevere. This is Caffe is must to visit every time in Rome. Here yoy can relax and have a good feeling with your spouse or other companions. I recommend to have nice moment here.

This cafe was empty when i went in there . That should have been a sign! The cafe macchiato was sharp, but not as sharp as the price .. 3.50 euro (in the south of Italy you pay 0.80 euro) which even by Rome standards is a bit rich.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
