This would fall into fine dining category ... again like every time we went without reservation and the owners accommodated us ... the lady at the reception was warm and engaging ... the food was good although a bit heavy as had lot of cheese .... good experience overall..

We had dinner here tonight and we were positively surprised. From the outside this doesn't look like a special place, and we didn't read any reviews before visiting - just dropped in by chance. The first course (octopus) was delicious, same as the lasagna, ravioli and orecchiette with clams. The merlot complemented the food perfectly well. The baileys mousse was... More

Having a day wondering around the tourist sites of Rome dodging the 'local' restaurants it was a great relief to find Sofia. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. The wine selection was also very good. I would definitely recommend it.

We ate here because of the reviews. Not dissapointed, especially because we've been walking a lot and was in the right place to stop , near plaza espagna. Liked the food, the place, the city :)

This was around the corner from our hotel so we decided to try on our last night in Rome the food was average but nothing life changing to expect such high reviews or compared to other places which blew us away. It was full of tourists when we were there and not locals which is not the best sign in... More

Came across this restaurant on theculturetrip.com searching for restaurants near Piazza di Spagna. We came earlier than our reservation but the waiters seated us no problems. They offered water (€3.50 for 750ml still) and Prosecco (€7.00 per glass) to start when they brought us our English menus. We ordered carpaccio, risotto with swordfish and fettuccine with shrimp. The swordfish was... More

Description
Sofia is our pet dog and mascot,…. a friendly and loving Jack Russell who accompanies us in our adventures. This is why we decided to give our most precious project her name!

An intimate, family-run restaurant with very few rules of thumb:

a menu which respects the seasons, using the finest of Italian produce, always fresh every day;
traditional Italian recipes together with other dishes specially created by our chef, and inspired by the flavours and colours of Mediterranean cuisine;
our desire that your lunch or dinner take place in intimate surroundings and make you “feel at home”.
