This venue came 'highly recommended' by our travel agent. The Nutella in my croissant was an interesting surprise. Coffee was good, not amazing, but worthy of my second cup. My wife elected to have the American Breakfast: eggs over easy, crispy bacon (she would had a plateful), toast, the quirky bits were the salad and two sliced of processed cheese... More

Very warm and welcoming. The food is excellent and the Peroni Beer is cold. Definitely recommend to other travellers near Rome Termini..

This was a great bar with nice food and decent prices. It isn't on a main road, hence it is quiet. The owners were really nice and it is close to the main station in Rome. It was a great find. Would highly recommend a visit for drinks and cocktails!

Nice small bar we just stopped in for a drink friendly staff. We also returned and the supermarket can't sell alcohol after ten I went here a brought a bottle of red to take away they knocked the price down from wine list. Friendly staff.

Having just arrived at our Hotel (Villa Franca) after a 24 hour trip from Australia we arrived 4 hours before our check in time so left our bags and wondered across the road to Oasies Bar. They were still cleaning up just before their 10am opening time but Marco welcomed us in and gave us all (6) a complementary serve... More

Wifey and I ate here our first night in Rome. We at first werent going to eat here, because it wasnt appealing from the outside. But being so tired and arriving late, we settled in for actually one of the best meals we had in Rome. The waiters were good. They work extremely hard. We decided on a grilled fish... More

Ok so it's not in the most salubrious location, but the staff are very friendly and the bar prices are reasonable. It was right next to our hotel and quite a few of our tour party stopped off here. We didn't eat here, but others said the food was tasty. A nice bar to chill out after a crazy day... More

Right in front of our Hotel, so location was great. The staff was very friendly, always a smile ready. With the beer I suggest the Focacia. Excellent. Crispy and salty. great with a good draft beer.

My wife and I stopped in after reading the reviews and were disappointed. She ordered the lasagna and I got the mushroom risotto. Both dishes were marginal at best. The beers I ordered came in warm glasses and we were the only people eating at that time (8:00 pm ish). The waiter, who looked like a pack of cats went... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
