Just a short walk down the street from our hotel, we stopped in for breakfast almost every day during our week long trip to Rome. The food was very good and well priced, and the staff are incredibly friendly (their English is much better than my Italian as well!). The lunch food looked amazing, unfortunately we were not in the... More

We had breakfast here on a couple of occasions. Great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. We also had croissants and they'll also prepare eggs, bacon etc if you wish. We saw the lunch items arriving into the chiller and wished we could have been around for lunch.

We stopped in after a long train ride to Rome, and all we wanted was a little coffee and eggs. The woman behind the bar was more than happy to make is omlettes with some ingredients she had on hand. Very nice!

We had a few really delicious lunches here. It is particularly good for people who don't eat meat. There are many choices - fresh vegetables, pasta, rice etc. I also had really excellent chicken. This is my favorite place to eat a quick lunch near the Via Veneto.

I have visited Gargani 3 times and have always enjoyed it. Today I had eggplant parmigiana and a side of meatballs. My kids had pesto pasta, which they liked, along with sides of fresh fruit. My wife had the turkey breast with vegetables and everyone liked their meals. The service is quick, friendly and you can eat inside or out.... More

We discovered this place by accident looking for some brunch after a long morning run - as we entered they were just cutting up a freshly baked tomato pizza and bringing out the fresh salads etc for lunch, so we had a delicious brunch of our choosing. We enjoyed it so much we went back later in the day for... More

Better to die than to eat here. For a start I've seen the shop assistent collecting a slice of ham which felt to the floor and sell it after to an another customer who didn't know about it. The sandwich we bought didn't taste. The bread was very white and didn't taste at all. The ham wasn't tasteful either. The... More

Just what I love for a fast food Italian style - all the good home made cooking equivalent, seasonal vegetables, diversity of cold and warm dishes to choose from... And everything was super tasty!! Meat balls in tomato sauce, fresh artichokes in lemon oil, little mozzarella di buffala with cherry tomatoes and broccoletti :-)

We where waiting for our room to be prepared so we asked the concierge for a good place to get a bite to eat. He showed us this place just down the road from our hotel. It took me a while to work out that the food is priced by plate/weight and it was very very reasonable. Everything was so... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
