Excellent service Excellent Food Great Value No Pizza No Pasta Fresh food The Gnocco Fritto is to die for! It's where the locals go and is quite quiet but do try and get there. We stayed at the Hotel Dei Mellini which is 30 seconds walk from this restaurant and had dinner there on our first night in Rome as... More

Fresh simple food done very well. Friendly service Went there on the back of the other reviews. Away from the main tourist trail.

My wife and I ate here two nights in a row because it was so good, as well as reasonable. Risotto dishes are to die for. Good wine choices and fresh ingredients. There is a language barrier, but it was easily worked out. Warning, can get very crowded, make a reservation.

We had a great meal in this small restaurant in Via Giuseppe Gioachino Belli which was just around the corner from our hotel the Dei Mellini. It was our last night, and the owner helped us choose from the menu and her recommendations were spot on, both in terms of quality but also quantity....see pictures The meal was great value... More

When we arrived in Rome on Monday we were all hungry and ready for Lunch. Right around the corner from Hotel dei Mellini, we found this Charming Bistro! We were warmly welcomed and seated. My husband and I travelled with our college aged son and his friend, and all of us were thrilled with our choices for lunch. Our waitress... More

After a long day of travelling and then doing the tourist thing, we decided to eat on the first night close to the hotel and this restaurant popped up on TripAdvisor. We were met with a very warm welcome from the owner who explained the options to us. We shared a recommended starter of deep fried gnocchi with meats and... More

This restaurant/bistro is a stones throw away from a few hotels in the Vatican area. The ambiance is spot on-relaxed and obviously enjoyed by locals. It does not try and deliver anything other than a pleasant meal and a variety of drinks. It is a small bistro and one should expect it to fill up quite quickly! It is shut... More

This small, family run restaurant serves home made pasta to an amazingly high standard. Its Cannelloni and Lasagne are divine. This is a modern, clean bistro type establishment, run with charm and enthusiasm by its owner and staff.

This interesting restaurant had a very nice menu that was a variation on typical Italian dishes but still simple and family friendly. Impeccably clean and wonderful staff.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
