Good restaurant! Nice staff, very tasteful food and a cosy, warm room. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

The roman artichoke starter was fine though nothing special. My main was osso bucco, which the waiter strongly approved of. Sadly, the veal was not as tender as I expect of this dish when it's well made, and it was disagreeably sweet. It would be a tragedy if the chef added sugar with all the great-quality tomatoes around Rome. Disappointing.... More

We had a mozzarella de buffalo and a salad for lunch. Spacious and relatively quiet place. Impressive wine list.

Called in on spec while in the area. Very good welcome, showed into a nice restaurant area, plenty of room between tables, nicely decorated without being over the top. Good Menu with some Roman specials (offal), also a good choice of meat, fish, pasta dishes, without being too much. For me it all looked freshly cooked. Waiting staff were able... More

Place is nice and welcoming, they have a restaurant and a pub. Asked for Prosecco, couldn't drink more than a sip. Asked for the bill and left. It was too much for very low quality. Poor service

Visited for a drink whilst wondered around the Trastevere area of Rome. Soft drinks were somewhat limited but a good selection of beers and wines. We also had the free buffet that was available for happy hour which was decent enough but most of the items tasted the same.

We went there on Christmas Eve. It was not completely full so I can't blame crowds for poor service. It took so long to order also waiter was not very helpful. We ordered a mix cheese and meat platter, it was a disaster. It came with literally 2 pieces of cheese and 3 pieces of meat. I don't know if... More

Nice and cozy place in Trastevere where you can eat real Italian food. The staff is friendly and the food is really good, not like all those tourists restaurants around Rome. I would go there again.

What a lovely little bar for some well earned anti pasti and an aperativo after a full day seeing the Vatican. There are great snacks on the bar and nice beer in a friendly atmosphere. Excellent

This non pretentious little caffe is an absolute delight. The aperitivo, while not having a great deal of variety, is of top quality:carpaccio, risotto, grilled courgette, mozarella and excellent bruschette combined with a super friendly staff and a fabulous price makes the caffe del moro the best spot and best value for money in the Trastevere. The music and atmosphere... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
