This is a place you should avoid on your trip to Rome. Awful food at an extremely high price. A can of coke 33 cl 4 euros! A rip off. Blandish food. Save money and avoid this terrible place

We stopped here before going to the Capitoline Museum. Really enjoyed the salad and grilled vegetables; the pasta was fine, very tasty. Prices were reasonable for a trattoria so close to so many attractions. Our experience with the service was great - no problems there - we were the first ones in the restaurant for Sunday lunch just to qualify... More

Near Venice Piaza- you have to go! Me and my wife ate pizza & pasta. The pasta ia regular but the PIZZA was amazing tasted so differenet from all the ones we ate before. One of the best PIZZA'S we tried. The owner was nice and kind and welcomed us with open arms and even gave us a table map... More

The food is bland and tasteless and what is even worse is the waitress there is rude. Avoid this place and find something better which will not be hard to do.

Had lunch with all 6 of our family but compared to all our other restaurants over the last 2 weeks at the same price it was poor. My risotto tasted like watery rice pudding. Also extremely expensive and poor service. Best avoided.

The place is really small, so the tables are all one next to the other. I ordered Penne all'arrabbiata and they weren't that bad, but when I asked for some parmisan they brough me non-fresh cheese with those dark little chips of mould you find on the grater if you don't clean it. Then, when I finished my dish, I... More

We stayed in Rome on a mini break, and ate here nearly every meal once we'd discovered it! Prices were very reasonable, and despite not speaking much English, the staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable - we even got a free pizza one evening because we'd already been there so much. I'm not normally someone... More

The place is unpretentious, it's a Trattoria (in the Italian meaning, which relates to simple, casual but often authentic food, not in the American way that means crappy food, but will overcharge you just because "Trattoria" sounds so fancy and Italian). The place is small, decor to a minimum. It's not fancy, it's not flashy, furniture are simple. At lunch... More

We were worn and tired after a long morning in the Forum and the Capitoline museum. This trattoria was just the ticket, not far from the Capitoline museum. The clientele included many tourists but also a number of locals. The antipasto along with a cold Peroni - perfect. My friend had a risotto with onion, provolone, and zucchini - very... More

We ordered pasta carbonara. What we got was pasta bianca which is pasta without any sauce. My wife speaks perfeckt italian, so she orderd. The manager was really unfriendly and made a few cheeky "joke."

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
