I had dinner here last Saturday with a friend. It is only 5 minutes walking from the busy Trastevere! What I liked in this restaurant is the simplicity! Not too many choices in their menu but delicious food. The Carbonata was yummy! To drink, their house wine from the Castelli Romani, nice and not expensive. Cordiality in their service and... More

We came across this little restaurant while walking to the main Trastevere area, they had a small sign just on the corner of the street with an example of what they had on the menu. So we decided to go and have a look what the place was like. Walking in, we though the place looked really nice and cosy.... More

Very Nice local restaurant, we had good food from the menu on the board. Very serviceminded waiter with good English who make you feel at home.

Sleek modern decor. The loudest thing in the restaurant was the TV piping out Italian version of MTV. When I asked to have it lowered they did. Can you tell I am a crotchety old guy. The food was quite good. They don't just rely on the old standards of carbonara, Amatriciana , cacao e pepi. Some interesting twists on... More

Wonderful food! Very friendly service. We spent 4 nights in Rome, 2 of them we enjoyed in this hidden restaurant that offered traditional Roman dishes with a twist of modernity. Prices are reasonable, just a bad taste in music. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is about to visit this city and enjoys delicious food!!!

The wine, our first course, our second course and our desert... "I'm sorry, we're out of..." The things we ate were good. The wine was nice and the service was really good. A pity that they had so little. I would go there again. Worth a visit!

Service was good and the restaurant was comfortable. Antipasto was good with a fair amount of tasty meats, some cheese, and some honey. Pasta dishes were better than some, not as good as others. Probably a good "go to" spot if you live in the neighborhood.

my wife and I ate here on a Saturday night. I was a bit concerned there would be queues due to trip advisor rating and the location of trastevere but there was room available. We shared the platter to start which had a great selection of meats, cheeses and Italian tempura (excuse the culinary ignorance!) then had two pasta dishes... More

Staff was fabulous and food was insanely good! We had a 3 course meal - antipasto, entree and main meal and each was amazing. Highly recommend it!

This restaurant saved Rome for me. I had a bad string of bland food and poor service, both on and off the main strips. My venture down to this little place was not a waste a time. The place in cosy, but it fits the vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful as I was by myself, always making sure... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
