Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This restaurant serves one of the best artichokes I've ever had. The house wine paired with it was just perfect. The pasta with truffles was amazing as well. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait. Our server was...friendly and helpful. They have limited seats both inside and out. There weren't that many people when we came, i guess, because we came in the afternoon right before they were going to close. I can only imagine how it must be like when they re-open in the evening. It was, overall, a great experience.More

A wonderful surprise. This is on a quiet street that feels very local even though most people were tourists. They speak excellent English. The food was excellent with mostly fish pastas and other dishes. There was a man playing piano that was great.

"I regret to say that my experience at 'Sapori d'Ischia' in Rome was disappointing. The prices were high considering the overall poor quality of the food. The atmosphere was cramped and lacked elegance. Striking a better balance between price and quality is crucial for customer...satisfaction."More

The first time my husband and I came for lunch ( booked through The Fork system), everything was fine, except for the confusion with the order: instead of grilled fish, they brought grilled shrimp. Today we decided to repeat our experience and ordered dinner through...the Fork system. When we received the invoice, we discovered that one sea bass weighing 400 grams cost 72 euros. There were no such prices on the menu, so we didn’t spoil our mood and left this restaurant, apparently forever. Be careful!More

Close to via Veneto, very small place but extremely cozy, with excellent food and a fantastic piano player. A place to return whenever visiting Rome.

The owner is very friendly and energetic from the beginning. There’s no language barrier as he was able to explain the menu and tell us the special of the day in English fluently. The food and wine is very tasty and definitely met our expectations....There’s a pianist playing old American songs throughout the night and gave a really good vibe. The overall dining experience is superb. We will come back here when in Rome next time.More

This was a good news/ bad news visit - to a little restaurant just round the corner from our Rome hotel. Our welcome by the waiter was good, and the live music was superb with piano/keyboard/ vocals by an Italian maestro. However beware of the...flounder! (Same as a previous review.) The young likeable waiter pushed the flounder special aggressively - and no wonder! Like the previous review it was 120 euros - crazy for a relatively tasteless fish, accompanied by inedible very thin potatoes. Strongly suggest that future diners stick to the regular menu.More

My husband and I ate here two nights in a row. The service is excellent and friendly. The food is unique, a culinary experience and still truly Roman. Eating here is an amazing experience.

We had a positive experience here overall, and the service was excellent. However we felt a bit put-off by an overpriced appetizer - a very small amount of bland calamari (6 varied size rings and 3 small heads) for 40£. Our pasta dishes were around...12-16£ each so it was pretty shocking to get the bill and see a small simple appetizer priced so high.More

Never had a bad meal in Italy in all my years of travel here until tonight. We were out for our last meal in Italy before our return home. The host kept pushing the fish dishes despite our protest that we wanted pasta. He continued...to push the Flounder so we compromised and split a pasta dish and the flounder , which he claimed would be served with roasted potatoes. We also had cocktails and split 2 very small appetizers. We ended up paying 200 euros, of which 120 euros was for a bland flavourless piece of fish served with a few pieces of thinly sliced and tasteless potatoes that were supposed to be roasted. Meanwhile, a group of Italian guests sitting beside us received huge portions of properly roasted potatoes. I’m still scratching my head about how we paid such an exorbitant amount for bland, poorly cooked food. Just when I thought it wasn’t possible to ever have a bad meal in Italy. What a huge disappointment. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! This was a complete robbery!!!More

We just arrived from the US and we were rough looking, hungry and exhausted. Massimo the chef welcomed us and made us homemade foccocia bread. The waiter was excellent and the food has been the best we had in ALL of Italy. I would love...to take Massimo back to the states with me. It was the freshest food we have eaten. Authentic Italian and the best was the atmosphere of his Italian singing piano player. I was waiting for Tony Bennett to appear! What a wonderful experience! A must go!More

It was a Friday evening and we had been welcomed to the restaurant by a young waiter who was delightful. We ordered based on his recommendations including wine We were only one of two tables in the restaurant with two delightful American women sitting next...two us with one celebrating a birthday The food started to arrive and it was all very good . The evening then went downhill when the owner arrived and it was clear he was not happy with the numbers in the restaurant and sent the young waiter home To say he was rude would be an understatement. He could not get us out of there quick enough He sucked the energy out of the restaurant and spoilt what should have been a fun night Ana a 4-6 star rating- ShameMore

Wonderfully authentic and sumptuous meal last evening listening to tunes played on a baby grand piano. No service charge added which certainly inclines me to leave a much larger tip. Service was excellent, food was excellent and surroundings were excellent. Strongly recommend. Thank you
