Avoid!!! Definitely fell into the trap of buying a meal near an attraction. 7 EUR for a beer, not even sure it was what I ordered as tasted cheaper. 40 minute wait for food then when it came the two dishes came 15 mins apart meaning we ate separately. Awful service. Definitely won't be back

You should probably avoid restaurants that send people out in the street to bring in customers! It was still jet lagged, so perhaps that accounts for my choice of this place for lunch. They said they had a roof top garden - showed me to a door and I had to find my way there -- very small lift with... More

We made the mistake of going here after being stopped by a waiter outside the hotel. We were told they have fresh made pasta and delicious pizza. After getting seated and ordering food and wine we were told by the waitress that the pasta was actually not made in house. We recieved a completely different pizza then we ordered. They... More

Wooden slat seats uncomfortable, No waitress service until we left after 40 minutes. We noticed there seemed to be lots of confusion in the orders that were being brought out to other tables.

On holiday with my daughter and wanted to reserve one night for a formal dinner. Based on reviews, location, and availability on short notice this looked like a good bet. Food was pricey, the "view" was of the crowded street rather than the Forum ruins. True staff did their best, and I feel badly for them, but good service with... More

Coming back from a long walk we were walking down the Spanish Steps when we noticed this well position restaurant. It was about 2.30 pm We were promptly shown to a table and our drinks order was taken (two glasses of white wine). They were promptly delivered. We settled on pizzas (Margarita and Capricciosa). While the restaurant was very crowded... More

After being shown to the roof terrace, which was stunning, for dinner our visit rapidly went downhill. After ordering our food we waited at least 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and another hour before our starters came. The waiter explained that the chef had lost our ticket, but failed to look after us in the wait by ignoring... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
