Sit inside with the locals and soak up the bubbly waiters fussing around you. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent with my family having the roast lamb, veal, steak and sea bass. All were perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic. We went early around 6:30pm on Saturday so wasn't at full stretch, which meant service was attentive. Reasonably... More

We ate at Al 34 two of the five nights while in Rome and really enjoyed the food and service. The staff were attentive very friendly and seemed to want you to enjoy your experience at their restaurant. The caprese was spot on as was the spaghetti carbonara, the tiramisu was to die for, excellent and well priced, we even... More

We ate her our last night in Rome last week. We were very pleased on all accounts. Tables outside were all full so we ate inside(air conditioned-good call) with many locals (to me, that's a good sign). Service was very good, prompt but not rushed at all, our meals were very good as was the wine. We would definitely eat... More

An older Fordors recommended but BEWARE. Service was nonexistant. The waiter asked if I wanted my primi course with the salads and then my fish with everyone else fish and I said, yes. But my risotto came after the primi course and after my daughters {14 years old} pasta which was her main course. When the whole family was done,... More

The food is quite nice. We had a veal shank that most passersby stopped to look at. The spelt, mushroom and bacon soup is awesome. It's worth going just for that.

After reading the reviews, my husband decided that Al 34 was a must. So we went. It was very crowded with tourists. The service was indifferent. My husband ordered the special of the day, cod. I got shrimp pasta--2 or 3 prawns with very little meat. It wa all very average. Within a few hours, my husband was violently ill... More

We stopped here late after trying to find another restaurant in the area of the Spanish Steps. It came recommended by a waiter at the International Wine Academy just up the road. The owner greeted us warmly, and despite our lateness (around 10:30), the waitstaff did not rush us at all. We had their house red, a great Montepulciano di... More

We had a great meal at Al 34. The waiter brought a soup, a perseco and a dessert to complement our meal. We loved our pasta and fish (although the fish was pricier than we were expecting based on the regular menu but was selected by our server). Everything was delicious and we would go back again.

It was a busy Weds night and the restaurant was bustling with a mix of tourists and locals. Although this meant the attentiveness of the staff was strained the service was generally good. The place has an eclectic decor with lots of ceramic harlequins and the like, which adds to the atmosphere. The food was terrific especially the meat dishes... More
