We were celebrating my wife's birthday and our anniversary with a trip to Rome. We chose Mirabelle as the restaurant for our actual anniversary and we were very pleased with everything. The attention to detail, the table (requested in advance), the food and the hospitality of the whole staff. It was a wonderful experience. Reading concerns about pricing - if... More

We had dinner here on a Saturday night in December; food was spectacular and service impeccable. This is a higher end (but not extremely priced) restaurant with amazing views. The lighting at night was really special and the entire waiter team acted as a well orchestrated symphony. We were especially impressed with Daniele, a handsome, friendly and polished waiter. Everything... More

To my mind this is the best restaurant in Rome! We've had dinner there several times and it was above expectations. It is expensive, but definitely worth it. Excellent food and service are supplemented with incredible views of Villa Borghese. Hope to return next time in Rome.

Celebrated our 30th anniversary here on a Saturday evening. We were seated at a table on the edge of the dining room and terrace with the most spectacular views of Rome and the Vatican. We chose the seven course tasting menu, it was a culinary masterpiece! Food was plated beautifully and tasted superb. The decor is plush with heavy drapes... More

It is situated at the top floor of an hotel; it is somewhat over decorated and overwhelming. The tables are very close to each other. Tasting menu is 150 euros for each person but nothing is surprising and it comes with hits and misses: some dishes are was quite vapid and ordinary but some, the ones that are traditional were... We were not staying here but were recommended to this restaurant on top of the Splendid Royale Hotel. We checked it out first and were sold by the terrace view so we booked dinner on our last night in Rome which was also our anniversary. The view from the terrace is awesome, right across the darkened city to St Peters.... More

The truth is I don't know and really I wouldn't be the best judge. All I know about cuisine is what I like and what I don't. I like the Mirabelle. Alot. And so I should because a meal for 2 with an entry bottle of wine cost me £400. That is an insane amount of money. But it is... More

Being from NY and traveling quite a bit, I've had lots of great food. This was so far from that. I *highly* recommend Pipero al Rex as an alternative. Pros: * Nice view * Good bread and olive oil Cons: * Food. It was bad. We decided to do the tasting menu and it was so beyond disappointing. The initial... More

Description
Mirabelle restaurant in Rome is a Michelin-starred, gloriously lavish, exceeds-all-expectations superstar. The mirrored seventh-floor dining room with its sumptuous pale gold dcor and elegant crystal and china frames a magical rooftop view of the Eternal City. Chef Stefano Marzetti uses superbly-sourced ingredients for haute cuisine dishes like artfully-presented seabass tartare with fennel salad and orange, oven-baked rack of lamb pre-sale with rosemary, and the famous Settimo Cielo Seventh Heaven dessert. The excellent wine list is mostly Italian with some heavy hitters from beyond. Manager Bruno Borghesi, formerly of The Ritz, leads formal, friendly service, attracting jet setters, politicians and other beautiful people. Wear a jacket and be ready to have your senses ravished.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
