Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Extremely kind staff. Good variety of flavour choices at a reasonable price. Quality ingredients. The cinnamon-white chocolate flavour is reason enough to visit. Be warned, when staff says the chocolate-chili flavour is really spicy, it really is spicy.

Delicious gelato. Some of the best we had in Italy! Stracciatella flavor was the richest we’d ever had.

Stopped by here for a gelato and it didn't disappoint. They have a relatively small selection but everything was delicious. I had a pistachio scoop which was one of the best pistachio flavors I have ever tried and a mascarpone scoop which was also very...good.More

We discovered La Strega Nocciola on a visit in Florence so were very excited to see they had a location in Rome. Their Rome shop isn't as large, but thankfully it's just as tasty! Their lavender gelato is light and creamy. A perfect treat for...a hot day. My husband loved their coconut, chocolate, and orange cream as well.More

This is located near the Spanish steps area. The flavours are good and the taste is delicious. The price isn’t too expensive.

While it wasn't a mind-blowing culinary adventure, I found the overall experience to be decent. Here are my thoughts on the place. Flavors: The gelato offerings had a decent variety, but none of them truly amazed me. I tried their cioccolato, which was made with...dark chocolate and had a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. It was enjoyable but lacked that wow factor. The stracciatella flavor was good, with creamy vanilla and chocolate shavings. Their signature flavor was okay. Overall, the gelato flavors were tasty, but they fell short of being exceptional or unique. Value: The pricing was reasonable for the quality of gelato provided. While it wasn't overly expensive, it also didn't feel like a steal. Verdict: While I might consider returning to this gelato place if I happen to be in the area, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit it again. It provided a decent gelato experience, but it didn't leave a lasting impression or offer anything extraordinary that sets it apart from the multitude of gelaterias in Rome. If you're traveling in Rome and looking for a memorable gelato experience, I would recommend exploring other renowned gelato spots that offer a more unique and exceptional taste. Overall, my visit to this gelato place was pleasant, but it simply didn't reach the level of "out of this world" that I was hoping for.More

My daughter and I loved La Strega Nocciola and so went there twice during our three-day trip to Rome. Fantastic icecream, all the flavours we tried were amazing and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Even though the line was quite long the first...time we tried, we didnt have to wait long. Highly recommend!More

This is exceptional artisanal gelato with natural ingredients. Well worth seeking out if you find yourself anywhere near the Spanish Steps.

Can't go wrong at La Strega Nocciola for gelato. They have the best gelato and we sampled many gelato places while in Rome.

We had gelato all over Rome, sometimes multiple times a day, and this tiny place on a quiet side street, was hands-down the best we found in Rome. Don't miss it!

We have heard good things about this gelato shop, so we decided to try it out after our dinner. Once we enterd the store, we were greeted by a very friendly and lively staff, who introduce the different flavor of gelato to us and recommended...us to either try the classic flavor hazelnut / pistachio / chocolate or go for a unique basil / lavender / bergamot flavor. We are quite keen on a unique flavor so we go for the basil & lavender & bergamot and loved it!! The herb and flowery and citrus flavor by itself is quite good but thesecret is the mix and match between these three flavors, it gives out a very refreshing combination where you can keep enjoying the different flavors thay compliment each other so well. Amazing!More
