Me and my partner have visited this small but lively restaurant this November. It was very busy but we were seated with no waiting time. It seemed like we were the only tourists in there and to be fair: this is exactly what we were hoping for. First, our waiter gave us a menu written in Italian only. Once he... More

Do not miss this place. It is - no exaggeration- the best pizza in Rome. Really fun environment and a real neighborhood place with local Romans choking down and enjoying. It is the Testaccio neighborhood, just next to the historic center (around a 15 minute walk along the Tiber). Really cool neighborhood- former working class district now turning artsy. Fantastic... Great local pizza shop. I stopped here 2 nights in a row for pizza and beer. It is a great atmosphere with super fast and cheerful service. The atmosphere is great with a wood fired oven and local flair. The pizzas are super thin crust with great flavor. You walk away not feeling bloated or over full but just right,

Ate here twice whilst staying in the area. You get a menu sheet and a pen and have to circle what you want. Best pizza we have ever tasted and it's good value for menu. Staff can speak English but clearly appreciate it if you try Italian.it does get busy later in the evening. Will eat here again when next... More

Good pie for Rome, of course nowhere close to what a real Napolitano tastes like. In Rome pizza crusts are very thin and dry and there are less toppings eg cheese than in Naples. But this place is relatively cheap and cheerful and you won't get much better anywhere else in Rome. Margherita was 5E. Litre of wine for 9E... More

Typical Roman pizza, typical pre-pizza foods. Delicious baccala, and suppli. Don't expect amazing service, it is more of a rush dining experience, and almost always busy. However, I love it, and feel it is a very typical place with fantastic pizza!

We ate here twice. First time we were seated in the front section, near the wood oven. We got to see all the action and interaction. Staff are efficient and friendly. Second time, we were in the middle section, not the same atmosphere. Try to get a seat in the front section. The bruschetta was delicious as was the baccalla... More

It's said that they cook the best pizzas in Rome and now I can believe it. Cheap, authentic and delicious. They don't accept reservations, you better go early... we arrived at 19 and an hour later it was already full.

In our first night in Rome some locals advised go to the pizzeria wright on the next corner from our place and it was 100% the right choice because there you can feel the authentic vibe of Italy, Rome and Italians. Food was good, prices ok and service as in Italy. Do not miss!

Our first night in Rome my husband and I stumbled upon this pizzeria. It was a great find. It took a while for a server to come outside and take orders, but once he started, the whole place seemed to fill up quickly. It was a little confusing at first, because they hand you a sheet of paper and a... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
