And I've had a few (thousand) in my life. The place opens at 7 and quickly fills up, and it's easy to see why. The pizzas were superb, my wife had one with buffalo mozzarella, I had one with salami, both were generously topped and super-cheesy with perfect crispy bases, from the volcanic oven which you can see as you... We came here off the back off good reviews and we were not disappointed. We arrived early to beat the queues so we did not have to stand out in the cold! A bustling restaurant full of characters and locals which was a good sign. Service was quick and as much as it was 'in and out', we did not... More

You have to come here and try the pizzas. That is all that should said about this place. Surprisingly, it is not open until the evening, and queues form quickly once it does open, but the wait is never so long.

I wouldn't ever go back here or recommend anyone else to. The food was terrible. Took over an hour to get our pizza and it was burnt and watery. Went here after reading the other reviews but wish we had not. You are crammed in like chickens in a pen. If your looking for a terrible place to go. This... More

You tick the listed menu and off it goes. Your pizza (or pasta) arrives quickly, wine comes in a carafe and you get stuck in. Very busy, full of character and characters. Get there early to get a table or you queue, but service and eating is quick and it is a great Italian experience!

This place is totally incredible. Very authentic. Very tasty. There are a lot of people there,we had to wait in the line (just few minutes) but the food and the atmosphere were totally worth it. We ate pizza diabola(with pepperoni) and pizza marco both very good. Highly recommended, best pizza in Rome.

We stayed at Francesca and Marta's Airbnb on the same block and they recommended Remo's. They were not wrong. Lovely lovely food, very reasonable (€8 for a big pizza, $1.50 for coffee or glass on wine) and top quality

Me and my partner have visited this small but lively restaurant this November. It was very busy but we were seated with no waiting time. It seemed like we were the only tourists in there and to be fair: this is exactly what we were hoping for. First, our waiter gave us a menu written in Italian only. Once he... More

Do not miss this place. It is - no exaggeration- the best pizza in Rome. Really fun environment and a real neighborhood place with local Romans choking down and enjoying. It is the Testaccio neighborhood, just next to the historic center (around a 15 minute walk along the Tiber). Really cool neighborhood- former working class district now turning artsy. Fantastic... Great local pizza shop. I stopped here 2 nights in a row for pizza and beer. It is a great atmosphere with super fast and cheerful service. The atmosphere is great with a wood fired oven and local flair. The pizzas are super thin crust with great flavor. You walk away not feeling bloated or over full but just right,

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
