The location, not far away from Piazza Spagnia, implies that it might not be a place to dine on a budget. However, this is definitely not the ambition of this restaurant. It’s definitely more haute cuisine and it really is worth the experience and the...More

An absolute wonderful find!!!! Stunning food, great staff. We loved it so much we went back every night!! An inspiring and truly fabulous vegan tasting menu. Definitely worthy of a food accolade. Wonderful wine list too. Bravo Il Margutto!!!!!!

As a very experienced vegetarian family we have struggled to find restaurant staff in Italy who fully understand about meat stock, lard, skin(!) rennet and gelatine without a complicated discussion and severely reduced menu choices, even in decent restaurants. So, for a rest from that...More

Ending Rome visit with a wonderful dinner. The piping hot poppyseed bread with extra virgin olive oil and signature balsamic vinegar was awesome. Spaghetti with black garlic, mushrooms and truffles and grilled eggplant with wafer was very delicious.

This was a true oasis on what was a stinking hot day in Rome. The restaurant is very close to the Piazza del Popolo but not overrun by tourists and obviously frequented by Italians who work/live in the district. We sampled the vegetarian buffet which...More

Hi! yes, we have many gluten free recipes but our kitchen is a unique space, so we do not have gluten-free certification because the recipes are prepared all in the same environment.
