I am really sorry to have to write this review and to give a restaurant only one out of five but I feel after our experience tonight it is justified. It is me and my husband's last night in Italy after ten wonderful days (four...More

On our last night in Rome we visited the trastevere district for authentic Italian cuisine and Gino51 did not disappoint. Our waiter was friendly and polite, the setting was beautiful and the food was delicious. The pizza was cooked in a traditional woodfire oven and...More

What a wonderful, friendly restaurant! Gino is a lovely family man and runs his business as though you're a family friend. The food is also delicious and reasonably priced. It's a must try, especially the pizza and lasagne!

Ok the place is very touristic so you do not expect to see and taste something different. Nevertheless the service was quite poor (it looks like they do not like tourist and more or less the waiters looked to be bored). There was a man...More

The restaurant looked nice from the outside and so does the menu. The prices are ok. However, the waitress seemed almost annoyed at us for dining with them. She rolled her eyes and sighed and didn't put in any extra effort. The food was alright,...More

Went here for a meal on my last night in Italy and wanted to go to a nice place. Should have went to one of the cheaper places round the corner. Food was ok but not worth the extra they charge compared to other places...More

We had a good family meal on a Monday night in July. We had pre-booked in the afternoon, but didn't need to as they never got full. Food was good, wine was good, service was good. Pricing was all on a par with every other...More

I was here with my friends. We were attracted by the simple design and the simple waiters but every single detail was defined for a big and incredible theft: 1 pizza + supermarket basic bear + rise fride ball = 40€. We are not in...More

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
