It seems crazy to go to Rome and eat Mexican food but this place is great! The margaritas are very good and the food is carefully prepared and authentic. I will be thinking about the verde sauce for some time!

The one and only Mexican restaurant in Rome. The owners, the team, the menu and the drinks, make you feel to be in Mexico. Enjoy!

I went here for my birthday this year as I was sick of eating at the usual pasta places. I had eaten here a few years ago, but I was a little disappointed this time. I think the serving sizes have gone down. And I didn't find it to be as good. The nachos were tiny and with hardly any... More

I've been to the restaurant twice in the past few months and both of the experiences have been great. The staff is always friendly and ready to chat or help with food choices. All of them speak at least three languages (Spanish, Italian and English) without any problems. Their service made the evening a very pleasant experience. The food is... More

Dining in a caliente atmosphere ? La Cucaracha brings your taste to the authentic colors of Mexico. Located in the vicinity of the Vatican Museums, this restaurant represents the spirit of all traditional specialities : burritos, quesadillas, guacamole, chilli con carne, enchiladas, chimichangas, conchita bibil, polle al chipotle, stuffed tortillas accompanied by original cervezas, mezcal, and for dessert churros, ............ Two weeks in Italy trying all variants of pizza and pasta left us craving something a little different... A quick search of trip advisor found this pretty highly rated Mexican restaurant within a 5 minute walk of the Vatican museum. The interior decor is bright if a little "Mexican touristy". The food was really good: a great choice and variety... More

The restaurant was really close to our apartment but we chose to only try it on the last day (C'mon, a mexican restaurant on Italy??? We had our priorities) but, man, I wish I had chosen to go there earlier. The food was delicious and spicy as it should be. The only issue I got was that it was too... More

We went there because my daughter wanted to celebrate her 19th birthday there. The food was delicious. We also had the biggest margarita and cuba libre. As a surprise the manager treated her to the next best cheese cake and sang happy birthday. Great evening and authentic mexican food.

La Cucaracha was right next door to our hotel so we popped in on a Saturday night. We had made a reservation earlier in the day and you certainly need to on a busy night. We both had prawn fajitas which were very nice but served in their full shells. As they were a) very hot and b) we had... More
