The place is a little bit bleak but the Mexican tradition is well-represented by the place and the several dish. The service and the quality of the food is well related with the price that is quite cheap. Not for special nights, but if you want to get drunk with a couple of friends this is the right place. 1lt... More

We were hungry and tired after a long day running around Rome. Looking for some where near our Hotel ( Turner) to eat, and found this little place. He had run out of white wine so we ordered a carafe of house red, and a non- alcoholic for my friend. We had tortillas with the usual guacamole, sour cream, and... More

Great place to start or end a night out and if Tequila is your tipple, Luis the owner serves it with great panache. If you wish to stay and eat there is a good selection of Mexican food on offer. Comfortable, convivial and run by good people. Recommended.

I am American but I've lived in Rome for several years. I've eaten very good Mexican food in the States and also have Mexican friends. My boyfriend and I ate at Fiesta y Siesta last year when I was feeling a little homesick. DO NOT waste your money here, the food is disgusting, poor quality, without flavor and expensive. We... Good service, fun, colorful atmosphere and tasty food. The portions were not the enormous heaps of food American diners may be used to but I like that since I tend to gorge myself on Mexican if given the opportunity and then regret it all might. Try the nachos!

If I were Mexican I would be totally insulted, first by the sight of their their pasty, pale looking "burritos" folded like a crepe and pathetically MICROWAVED, then by the sight of their pathetic and watery guacamole that tasted like mayonnaise without any tomatoes, cilantro, or flavor, the super-dry rice that tasted like and had the texture of sand (again... At home we have Mexican at least once or twicw a week and were really missing it. The reviews about this place are all on the money, its really pretty good. We stopped by there the first time around 9:30, and were told that we couldn't get a table until at least 11. We had just walked a mile from... More

I must go to this restaurant every time I'm in Rome and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the owners are just wonderful! I have tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious. The home made guacamole and salsa are a must have. My favourites are also the barbeque ribs and the various... More

My wife and I were visiting Rome in the Summer of 2012 with my family, and being from Arizona we decided to introduce my parents (who are not from the US) to Mexican food. First off, let me say that if must have "authentic" TexMex or any Americanized Mexican food, you will be dissapointed. But why would you? This is... More

My wife and I tried Papatzul for a late Sunday lunch and found it a bit hard to find (and park) but worth the effort. It's simply decorated like a cantina in a small Mexican town. We enjoyed the margaritas and the guacamole and chips . For the entree, my wife had a tasty and plentiful avocado and cheese sandwich.... More
