We had a meal on our last night in Rome, the menu was extensive in its choice and authentic Indian food of high quality. The staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English, it is clearly favoured by regular locals which is always a good sign. The prices were reasonable and they were not phased by our choice of only... More

Our actual rating is 3.5, but this is not an option. If you do consider eating here, note that it is closed on Mondays. We liked the interior and the staff/level of service, and the food tasted quite good, but nothing more. We liked the taste of the curries, but is not too happy with chicken served on the bone,... We had dinner at Sitar this week. Our service was so accommodating, especially since we speak very poor Italian. The food was outstanding and we all agree that it has been one of the highlights of our week in Rome. All of the dishes we ordered were very good, we each had a meat and a vegetable as well as... I have never been to India and therefore my experience with Indian Food is from the US, Rome and Chile. I though that overall the food was bland, the portions were small and most of all, I was surprised at the mini-chicken legs in the chicken dishes. I have always received non-boneless chunks of chicken in my Chicken Curry, Chicken... More

Had to get something with a bit of spice so went to the local curry house. Was quiet so sat down straight away the lady in charge was very friendly and went through the menu. Food was tasty and portions were good, service was quick and attentive and the food was good value, worth a visit just to get away... More

Very disappointed with this restaurant....food was adequate but we left feeling hungry. To be fair the lady that took our order did say that the chicken dishes were cooked on the bone.....but there was hardly any meat to get off the bone. Decor is lovely and it looks a really nice little restaurant...staff were friendly and helpful...wine was nice.....there was... More

Arrived at the restaurant, asked for a table for 5...the waiter said he'd check with the lady owner (I believe). He checked and took us to the table near to the kitchen door. Was told they only had 4 seats but he could add an extra chair, which was fine. Another member of staff came asking why we'd been out... More

After a few days of pasta and pizza we needed a change of cuisine. My parents love Indian food so we decided to give Sitar a try. I have been disappointed with Indian food in Italy before but not this restaurant. The food was well seasoned and the spice was just right. My dad who does not like very spicy... More

Where ever we are, we eat Indian. Stockholm, Lissabon, Calgary, Orlando, Bangkok, Antwerp, Copenhagen, Durham, you name it. This restaurant is definitely one of the two best. Doubt is with The Penang Curry a Chang Mai, Thailand. Grandmother is in charge of finance, Mother in the Kitchen and the Son is serving. Butter Chicken is Awesome. Tika Masala so spicy... More
