Having been out for an evening stroll we looked for a nice restaurant. Checking out the prices we were acutely aware we were in the rip off zone. We discovered Gasparone the prices were fair the welcome was excellent. The food was well cooked and pleasant. Service was cheerful and helpful. It was nice to have such pleasant service in... More

Where to start...I'll give a shortened version. After being seated, my family was yelled at by the waitress to move because we had 6 and the table was for 8. We were moved to a dark corner (the only reason we had light was because I messed with the light fixture) next to some sort of hot exhaust pipe on... More

On a quiet evening we got pulled in by the nice waitress. I ordered something having an Italian name and the translation "Pork meat" and I received a strange looking processed meat cut in two pieces the size of a potato. When I told the owner that it is not what I expected he said that the Italian means sausage,... More

Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever eaten, tough veal swimming in oil, bland salad and two day old bread. Best part of the experience was the out-of-tune mandolin recital by the elderly beggar that the patron allowed to come in and sit down beside us. Couldn't leave quick enough. Avoid like the plague.

Situated in a row of similar restaurants near the Trevi Fountain, we selected this as a quiet and friendly pizza restaurant on our first evening in Rome. We were not disappointed, and enjoyed some lovely, tasty pizzas and a very reasonable and pleasant litre of house wine. Service was relaxed friendly and delightful, and we were made to feel very... This restaurant is more homely / rustic looking than some of its neighbours so we expected the food to be of a similar theme. We had the chicken breast in mushroom sauce and the veal saltimbocca - both were tasty but basic and we had to order a side dish as neither meal came with anything. We had the white... More

This place is close to the Fontana di Trevi. Like others we where tired walking and tour around Rome so we got pulled in by a waitress on the street guaranteeing good food. We saw a semi packed restaurant and was seated in the back. There was only the view a an ally there. We ordered a simple pizza mozzarella,... More

We had passed the restaurant several times and on our 4th night after having several expensive awful meals we tried here and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My husband had the mixed bruschetta which was very tasty then I had the mushroom risotto and my husband had the spinach, both were delicious. Tiramisu for dessert. The staff were pleasant and the... Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
